It's funny how a lot of backs run harder when they're not sittin on a phat contract. (see Benson or Shaun Alexander) I wouldn't put him in the same category but Brandon Jacobs is in a contract year too, but he has been consitantly running hard throughout his career.

Last week Tarvaris Jackson and Matt Forte helped me win my league. With year end match ups and injuries throughout the year you never know who will put you over the top. I chose Jackson to start over Romo because of his match up last week and it didn't hurt that I had Brandon Jacobs too. If there is somebody playing their championship this week they might have a smile on their face due to the efforts of the underachieving Cedric Benson. I also remember some years back the Panthers backup rb Nick Goings helped me win a league.

You all know Favre is on the cover of Madden 09 and the players on the cover have historically gotten hurt the year they've been on the cover. Another chapter would be added to this soap opera if the Iron Man gets hurt this year when he returns from retirement due to the "Madden Curse."

I've got a feeling that Dollar Bill Belicheck and Brady are going to have a chip on their shoulders this year. They're coming off of spygate and they lost their perfect season in the Superbowl. I wouldn't be suprised if they run the score up in every game this year.

I've never taken a qb in the first round, but after the year Brady and the Pats had last year I'd consider him.
