  1. Kenneth Dixon is interesting to me. 3rd year. He's been derailed by injuries so far, but if he can stay healthy he should be the most talented running back on the roster. And on these teams with coaches that need to win like Harbaugh, I expect them to not be sentimental and play their best players.

    This. Collins is meh.

Ekeler for ppr as your new woodhead.

    Kerryon Johnson

    Cuffs: Connor/Edmonds/Jackson

    Wilkins.

Keep a pulse on Scott during Ingrams suspension for usage hints and talent.

  2. I would suggest keeping a major eye on Chester Rogers, Deon Cain and Ryan Grant in Indy as well. They will be passing a ton this season and one of those three will be the #2 WR on a team piling up garbage time yardage/scores. None are being drafted in re-draft.

This. I like Cain to come out with some targets.

Kirk is going to be someone to watch as the season goes on. If Rosen comes in even more so.

Deep sleep is Josh Reynolds. Tons of skill but the cooks signing killed his outright value.

If Marshall makes this hawks he could have streaming value as a TD reliant, big if right now tho.

Hurns is someone I'd be gunning for at his adp,if he's healthy he's probably just outside WR1 #s unless jarwin turns into a TD threat.

Ardarius Stewart screwed himself with his suspension or I would have liked him for ppr sleeper.

Cooper is definetly one to snatch this year, adp much lower than years past and still entering his prime.

With Mitchell on bubble and Jordan Matthews gone, Dorsett is a great dart at the end.

  3. It's coming. I'm a big believer but he's still on the wire in my league. I was sitting watching the end if the game, cause if there was a TD, I was putting in a claim. He's got as many pts per game as rudolph right now. When they start using him more often the bigger point totals will come. But keep in mind he's a frigging tight end whose name is not graham, gronk or Juliepoo

  4. This thread is both entertaining and informative.

The single RB slot is an interesting notion. We have 3 WR slots in my leagues as of two years ago, (with a rb/wr/TE flex) and that's added some parity. When i set up my first league years ago I negated to set QB TDs to 4 points the first year or two. I would never go back to that scoring system, QBs just romp all over the place. I think PPR will be the next step next year, not because I need to mimic anything in the nfl, but to add value to the slot receivers that get passed over, as well as even out the sproles and mckinnons (yep, calling it now) of the leagues. But I have silly bonuses in my league too, so that a huge week from one of your players will almost lock you into a win (200+ yes rec or run, 60+ ya fgs). The main point is that the people in the league all like that bonus, and since it's fantasy and not reality, we can do that and have fun with it, even if it has nothing to do with nfl scoring. If you don't have a varying points (and penalties for missing) system for your kickers I would definitely recommend that to add some interest to an otherwise lame part of fantasy.

  5. The reason he's down the chart is he's a udfa, he has more talent than the other two, but opportunity needs to present itself. His perceived attitude towards his college career in his last year is the only reason he wasn't taken early in the draft. Don't write this guy off, lots of potential here. Matt waldman at rsp thinks very highly of him, and he is an awesome fantasy scout.

  6. Washington cut 3 RBs including royster. What's up with the RB situation there? Shannahan leaves but it still seems a bit murky with the nasty comments about Morris as a pas catcher. I feel like helu has some good value at his adp... Thoughts?

  7. I think part of it is also being used to watching all day and then gerhardt after, it's a tough act to follow. Even if he doesn't end up on my roster tomorrow I'll be monitoring him out of curiosity this year. The whole jags roster has a DND kinda feel to it (doesn't it always), but him and shorts present good value in their respective ADPs.

  8. Martin was a lot of fun to watch in his rookie season. He has shake and bake as well as speed, not sure why it's stated he is simply average. He's also built like a brick house for a guy his size. If that o line settles in a bit he's a prime bounce back candidate IMO. The Evans factor, as pointed out, can only help, as he's shown well (much better than I expected) in preseason.

  9. I've toyed with idea of weekly payouts in my leagues, not to gain advantage, just to keep everyone interested even once their scrub squad (I live in Canada, in a 12 team league there's always one or two, usually due to turnover due to previous scrub squad) nose dives to 1-5. 350 year end seems low though.

That ranking system is however, supremely fuxxed .

  10. As a vikings fan who has watched most games over the last 15 years, more importantly 5, I can tell you gerhardt as a starting running back for any team in the league sounded like a horrendous decision when I first heard it. He is a slow plodding back, makes no good decisions. He can catch the ball, he can block, and he can hit a hole with some aggression, but I have a super hard time envisioning him finishing in the top 20 RBs in the league. I make that statement knowing full well the volume of touches, given he stays healthy, would virtually guarantee it for most backs. And it ain't black or white, he's just plain vanilla. I watched a good portion of the Jags first half in week 2, todman was noticeably faster, more explosive, made people miss. Gerhardt reminds me of TRich, minus the Gregory Hines routine before the line of scrimmage.

All this being said, his ADP people are tossing around in this thread makes him an easy pick. If rice is gone in the 5th and I need a third RB, that's a no brainer. I just don't view him as the 5th most valuable back at years end, if you do, I would temper expectations big time.
