Skip Bayless accused of offering Fox Sports employee $1.5M for sex in bombshell lawsuit
jerryskids replied to Mike Honcho's topic in The Geek Club
I figured the "Trump is a narcissit" would come up. I've said it plenty of times: https://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/search/?&q=narcissist&author=jerryskids&search_and_or=or Most of those are about Trump. Whatabout wut? -
I'm not sure that we can conflate "done the most for black people" with "give them the most free stuff." If that were the case, then freeing the slaves would have no value in the discussion. I would argue that record low black unemployment, and the First Step Act/sentence reductions, are more important than more free stuff. And no, I don't think Trump did more than Lincoln. I watched the video: he said "since Lincoln -- and perhaps in some ways, including Lincoln -- but since Lincoln"... https://www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/watch/-an-insult-rev-al-slams-trump-for-saying-he-s-done-more-for-black-people-than-lincoln-211239493982 My guess is that the speech said "since Lincoln," but Trump couldn't help himself, because he is a narcissist, so he riffed the middle part. I imagine his campaign people were doing some after he added that part.

Key Bridge in Baltimore struck by ship-collapses
jerryskids replied to Fireballer's topic in The Geek Club
Maybe I missed something, but what does my pointing out Rusty's TDS in a Baltimore bridge thread have to do with Biden and narcissism? Also FWIW, I've called Trump a narcissist plenty of times here. -
Timmy’s thread for general discussion
jerryskids replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
Put another way: you are a narcissist who loves the idea of people coming to your thread to engage with you; the topic at hand is irrelevant and in fact would detract from your scratching your egotistical itch. -
Some conservatives want to ban no-fault divorce

If he truly is a narcissist, you are probably right -
Narcissist, agreed. Incompetent, I dunno. St Barack went into office with a resume of one term voting "present" in the Senate. Biden is mentally absent at this point, I think you used to argue this but hopefully you see the obvious. When I was a young engineer I spoke to my boss's boss about my career plans. I laid out all of the different jobs I planned to do to move up in the company. He said, "you know, as you move up you will eventually get to a position where you didn't do every job you are managing." Now expand that a million fold for the job of running the free world. The ability to hire the right people and to "manage managers" is a critical skill for a POTUS. Truth is, I recently gave Trump a hard time because it didn't seem like he did a good job hiring people the first go round, so why would this time be different? But you are basically saying Trump was only successful because he surrounded himself with competent people. That's what I disagree with.

GutterBoy Alleges That: "There Is No Logic Coming From Jordan Peterson" (Let's Explore That)
jerryskids replied to Blue Horseshoe's topic in The Geek Club
If we can agree that trans is a mental disorder, that is a start. Some trans kids aren't looking for attention, they have true gender dysphoria. I agree with everything you said about them. Some are: I've personally known two, and each was from a crappy home life and bounced between being trans and not trans based on... whatever. Some play the victimization card - victimization is tied to narcissism and other pathologies. https://psychcentral.com/disorders/narcissistic-personality-disorder/narcissist-plays-the-victim Trans folks are some combination of the three. I truly sympathize with the people with gender dysphoria, and I'm open to discussions of solution options. I don't know enough to say that surgery and/or hormones is the right solution, as it seems a bit like telling a person who thinks they should be blind that they should throw acid on their eyes. But I'm open to the discussion. I believe that other disorders like eating disorders have gone through similar vectors, and those in particular share the common trait of being unhappy in your physical body and looking for ways to improve it.
