I thought about that too, but I want to wait a little longer just to see if some injuries at mini camps come about. I would hate to draft someone and they get hurt in the first minicamp or QB school.

And isn't there some milestone date coming up regarding what happens to players you release? Like you have to pay them more of their salary/bonus after that, or something? I feel like June 1st or 2nd means something. After that, there would be less risk someone would get cut.

Don't worry Jwood, Billy Joe is very durable. You have nothing to worry about.

 

Yes TJ June 1 is the day some guys will get the ax. After that date it lightens some of the load teams take against the cap.

 

The Saints have notified Keith Poole he's first to go. We now know who Scorp will pick in the second round since he will probably become a Card.

I'll be around other than those dates. However, I'd prefer to keep the July 9th date. Hopefully, we'll finish the draft by the time I go away on July 22nd.

Personally (and maybe since I am new to the whole Keeper League thing), July 9th sounds way early to me. I guess if you have your best guy go down early, you just ride it out and start "rebuilding for next year" BUT I couldn't draft now if I wanted, as work has kept me quite busy, and it would probably take me two days of sustained on-line research just to know what guys will be on which teams, and even that won't be NEAR finalized. I know nothing about the quality of most of this year's rookies. Sorry for being such a novice, but I vote overwhelimgingly NO to drafting before July. Even then, I'll be on the road for work, most likely, and won't have had time to do much research.

 

I suck. Anyone want to trade me for #12.
