Phil 0 Posted August 13, 2002 I gotta tell you guys, you can analyze this stuff to death but in my experience 90% is luck and as Yogy would say "the other half is knowing sumthin". In the past I have been the geek of geeks when it comes to tinkering with tools like Mikes compiler and you know what, every year I get beat by someone who just grabs a cheatsheet at the last minute and heads for the draft. This year I'm gonna relax and enjoy the ride. But of course I'll have my Buddy humming at draft time. Phil
Mike MacGregor 20 Posted August 13, 2002 The beauty of fantasy football. Anyone can win on any given week. Kind of like the NFL, isn't it?
Autumn Wind 0 Posted August 15, 2002 Yeah, that's usually the way it goes. But at least I feel smarter with a program like this. And the draft buddy is a GREAT addition.
Rotogar 0 Posted August 15, 2002 And while luck certainly plays a part, I've been playing in leagues too long to have failed to notice that some guys show up year after year. In the last three years, four guys have accounted for all the championship game teams. And the two that don't make the championship usually lost in the semi-finals (or did reasonable well). One of those guys joined another league last season and won his division before injuries shut him down in the playoffs. I guess what I'm saying is that luck is certainly the overriding factor in who wins and who looses. But if you are prepared and knowledgable, you put yourself in a position to be 'lucky' more frequently.
