Adding a scoring category

Recommended Posts

I want to add a scoring category to the parameters tab (specifically Pass Attempts). How can I set it up so that I do not mess up the rest of the formulas? I tried to rename a scoring category that my league does not use but I am having trouble altering the values on the individual position tabs.

Thanks in advance

Hi Hendu. Sorry for the slow reply but as I'm sure you're aware, we've been experiencing some technical difficulties around here.

Pass attempts. A few people have asked about this. Do you perhaps get a negative score for pass attempts and a positive score for pass completions? What I've suggested to others is to copy all of the pass attempts and completions for each player from the Compiler (qb tab) to a blank spreadsheet. Then calculate a net completions number:

=PaComp-(PaAtt-PaComp)

Now, copy this new data back into the Compiler qb tab under PaComp. Make sure to paste the values, not the formulas, using Edit > Paste Special > As Values and also make sure you line up the data with the right players (just don't sort either list while doing this and it should be fine).

Now instead of PaComp you have a net PaComp statistic. Alter your scoring system for PaComp so it is the difference between your PaAtt and PaComp scoring.

For example, if you score -1 Per PaAtt and +2 Per PaComp, then your new scoring is +1 Per net PaComp. Make sense?

If you were having trouble finding the FF Today projections before, they are on the qb tab way off to the right after the blue highlighted section and after the prior year stats.
