g.com 0 Posted July 28, 2002 Very interested in using this for my league. I currently play in a 14 team keeper league. Was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions as to eliminating players that have been kept, in both the Compiler and Draft Buddy.
zippychi 0 Posted July 28, 2002 Probably not the easiest but you could just increase the number of rounds of your draft and input the keepers into the extra rounds. This will eliminate them from the buddy list, and also put them on team rosters.
Mike MacGregor 20 Posted July 29, 2002 I've discussed this with a few other people by email before. I think the general consensus was that you do not want to remove keepers from the Cheatsheet Compiler because if you do it will nagatively impact the baseline calcs. Assume 10 team league with last starter baseline method. Say 5 QBs are kept, you take out these 5 players (i.e. take their FF Pts to nil). Then when the Compiler goes to find the baseline for QBs, it looks for the 10th ranked QB but with the first 5 missing, it will actually be picking up the 15th ranked QB. If you just keep the keeper players in, then it is as if they were already drafted. I think that makes sense. As for Draft Buddy, I hadn't considered keepers for that initial version. I think adding them to the end with additional rounds is a good idea. I'll consider changes to account for keepers in the next version.
