2 qb in first 2 rounds?

Recommended Posts

I used the cheatsheet compiler last year, what a great idea, Thank you.

This year I am just going to use FFToday numbers because it took too long to input other numbers and didn't change the final sheet too much.

My question is I inputed my league's scoring (4pts for pass td) (6 pts for a run or catch td) etc., and then compiled the numbers. The only qb in the first round was Warner, Culpepper in the second. I must have screwed up somewhere the overall picks just don't look right, what's the old saying ' garbage in, garbage out.' I have Tony Gonzalez at number 5 pick, Warner is at 9. I agree (mostly) with the rating and predictions but can't figure out the overall rating. How (or should I) change the VBD around? and to what percent? or any other hints would be appreciated. TIA

Hi Jim. Always glad to have a repeat customer.

How many teams in your league? What are your starters and backups? Which baseline method are you using? Give some more details of your scoring.

Respond to this and I'll run the Compiler to see what results I come up with. Then we can analyze it from there. I'm surprised Gonzo is #5 overall.

Thanks for replying. I slightly adjusted the numbers, and the cheatsheet looks better, but I have Moss, Owens, and Harrison second, third, and fourth (after Faulk). Then a whole bunch of running backs, which is fine. Warner is 9th.

Here is our scoring.

4 pts for a pass td, 6 pts for a run or catch td. Bonus points: 5 pts for pass over 250 yds, 5 pts for run or catch over 100 yds (75 yds for T.E.). Defense is basic. 15 pts for shutout. 10 pts for 1-9 pts scored by oponent. 5 pts for 10-19. 0 pts for 20-29. -5 pts for over 30. If defense or Special teams score a TD (6 pts) or a safety (2 pts)

We only have 10 people in our league. I choose the 7 default key and 1 VBD baseline.

My basic strategy is (of course) get running backs (due to lack of depth), but if the top 3 to 4 rb's are gone, Warner or then one of the top three wr's would be in the top ten.

Thanks again for replying, I know I'm just discussing the top 10 picks, but I would assume that would continue into the further rounds.

I just read the other threads about having the big three wr's at 2,3, and 4 spots. That answered my question. Thanks.
