just curious I have sixteenn people that are interested in my league and they all are fine with a sixteen team league if I run with this what are our options for roster size, starting lineups, etc?

help me!!

I am not sure I like the idea of sixteen teams, but like I said they all are fine with it. I may have a mutiny on my hands.

16 teams will suck ass IMO.

Played in a 14 teamer that was ridiculous.

10 teams is ideal in my experience - everyone gets to draft a strong team and there is true parity.

16 teams is tough but it can be managed. I've been in one for about 7 years now and have been fortunate to win it 3 times. You just have to understand that the talent disappears even more quickly than in other leagues.

Having the #1 pick isn't necessarily always a good thing, since your next pick won't be until #32. Preparation is key, knowing who to take with your later picks is how I've managed to stay on top. There don't seem to be too many 16-team leagues out there though, so you tend to be on your own when it comes to mocks and advice. Good luck!!

16 teams is the way to go. It separates the men from the boys because the talent is spread thin. You better know your stuff during the draft and actively manage your team during the year. Even with 16 teams there are still waiver wire pickups that can make a difference such as Droughans and Goings last year.

Between the 16 of you, you should be able to come up with 4 more people and have a 20 team league. This happened to me. We had 9 people and we figured that we'd need one more... so we all started asking around and before we knew it we had 17 people. Well, we decided to find 3 more and make a 20 team league with two 10-team conferences each containing two 5-team divisions. Each conference has a separate draft and we all play each other. You play everyone in your division twice, three teams from the other division in your conference and 1 team from each division in the other conference. At $150 per person a $3000 starting pot is a good one. This is our 6th year and we have 19 of the original 20 owners... and that other guy came in our 2nd year... so we've had the same 20 peopler that last 5 seasons. It's awesome.
