DAGAME 0 Posted August 15, 2005 Hey Mike, 2nd year I am using the Compiler but first year using the Draft Buddy. I notice that the draft buddy indicates "Top ADP Players Available" & "Top Ranked Players Available". But where is this info being pulled from ( I know from it is pulled from the Compiler). I set up 3 leagues on the compiler and was basically wondering if it is possible to set the buddy up to pull info/data from a certain league. Please let me know if I need to clarify my question or a response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
bjlmonster 0 Posted August 15, 2005 I believe all ADP data comes from antsports.com mock drafts. I also believe the ADP data is updated on Thursdays with the projections. I guess you are asking if you can put the draft results from another draft as your ADP, probably not, but can't you print the draft results from the buddy and have it on hand for your next draft? DAGAME 0 Posted August 16, 2005 Hey Bjl, thanks for trying to respond. I guess my question isn't clear. I am in 3 different leagues with different scoring. 1 league is IDP, 1 league is Flex/auction and the 3rd league is basic scoring. So I have all 3 leagues setup on the Cheatsheet Compiler. What I am saying the rankings for each league is different. So how do I draft all 3 leagues using the Buddy with the particular Cheatsheet that is compiled for it? mcocozza 0 Posted August 16, 2005 Then you have 3 different versions of the compiler, right? Just have 3 different versions of DB, too. If you have leagues A, B, and C, then have: draftbuddyA.xls draftbuddyB.xls draftbuddyC.xls Within each draftbuddy file, you specify which compiler you want to pull the information from. Make sure you reference the correct compiler filename.
Mike MacGregor 20 Posted August 16, 2005 What mcocozza is suggesting is essentially correct. You want to have a different Draft Buddy file for each league. Open Draft Buddy and select File > Save As.. and change the filename. I usually change it to the league name to easily identify them. One thing though mcocozza, is that you only need one Compiler file to store 3 (actually 10) league profiles with scoring. That feature is built into the Compiler. The reason it isn't build into Buddy is because there is too much data for it to properly save multiple leagues in one file. Note DAGAME the league that will be transferred over to Draft Buddy from the Compiler is the currently active league in the Compiler when you run the Buddy setup. Mars2469 0 Posted August 16, 2005 I could use a little help with the compiler and draft buddy. This is my first time using them and I believe that I have entered all the info correctly but, when I look at the projection and see WR in the first round knowing that RBs and QBs tend to go first. I am pretty sure i did something wrong. If someone is willing I could use some help setting this up. Basically i would like to send my league's scoring to someone and see if they get the same output. Mike MacGregor 20 Posted August 16, 2005 Hi Mars. I'm signing off soon, but post it here and I'll check it out tomorrow. WR may be more valuable in your league than you think.
