bandwagoneer 0 Posted August 23, 2005 Had my local draft this past Saturday (10th Year...I'm a nine year loser ) <--(Hanging curve ball ) Our league is a scoring/performance yardage league. (Typical scoring w/Pass TD's 4 pts.) We start 1 QB, 1RB, 1WR, 2 Flex (RB or WR), I TE, 1 K and 1 Def/ST. I was #12 of 14 in the draft...so how I did do. And where do you think I need help. 1-Domanick Davis RB 2-Randy Moss WR 3-J.J. Arrington ® RB 4-Marc Bulger QB 5-Laveranues Coles WR 6-Drew Bennett WR 7-Dallas Clark TE 8-Chris Brown RB 9-Eric Shelton ® RB 10-Philadelphia Eagles DEF 11-Shayne Graham K 12-Kyle Boller QB 13-Daniel Graham TE 14-Antonio Bryant WR 15-Derrick Blaylock RB 16-Reggie Williams WR
The Moz 69 Posted August 23, 2005 Dom and Randy are solid ! -- You may of reached a little taking Arrington early. I just am not impressed with him so far and it's looking like Shipp is the better RB so far. Coles i think is a solid WR who will out perform his ranking and Bennett could have a huge year under Chow as well. All in all not bad -- If Randy has a year like 2003 and Davis has a entire year like he had the 2nd half of last year you could e in great shape for the title ! I knew Arrington was a reach but the run on RB's was devastating. I was afraid of what I would end up with. With 14 teams, the talent is spread out. With our starting rosters, I can possible get away with starting only one RB. But DD has to stay healthy. Also, I am reluctant to trade Randy because of the 1 RB, 1 WR, 2 flex starters. To trade Randy I would want a scoring equivilant RB in return. With one RB starter needed, RB depth isn't as important than 2 starter leagues. Still important, just not as important. Thanks for the advice.
Guest TheCheat Posted August 23, 2005 I don't like your backups at QB (Boller...really?) or TE, but I like the team as a whole a lot; s/b very strong for a 14-teamer. (Any chance Shipp is still available in case Arr. continues to struggle?) 9 years? Sounds like an optimistic estimate.
sloracer 0 Posted August 23, 2005 I think Moz is just a little jaded from having traded away JJ recently. I like the squad in a 14-teamer. You could just start Coles, Bennet, and Pot-head along with DD. I'm not entirely high on JJ, although more stoned than most, and I think you have good potential there as far as taking a stab at a rookie back. Good sleeper potential in Bryant and Shelton. Not sold on your TEs either, but come on 14 teams you gotta be weak some where.

Boller will have to do something this year- for his sake. And Shipp is not available. 14 team, 16 rounds...not much left. It's a shame that we not playing this year...because that would be the only thing I'd be optimistic about. FYI gang...Just got invited to sit my ass down in the club section for opening day! Panthers vs. Saints. I'm trying to find tickets to see the Patsies come to town in week 2. If so, look for me as I run on the field with my 'TheCheat blows Donkeys' shirt on. Jackson and am very high on him ! as I am CJ. slooro -- I know you like JJ Arrington and all -- Just from what I have seen he's really not impressed at all -- like 15 carries so far for like 30 yards and 2 fumbles 1 lost. Shipp on the other hand has really done well. I think Shipp might end up being the real steal in our trade ! As for Bandy I would still try and shop Moss and Arrington as a package to try and get a RB like a J. JOnes , and a WR like a Ward or Burelson. IMO D. Davis, J. JOnes , H. Ward , L. Coles/Bennett is better than D. Davis, R. Moss, L. Coles, D. Bennett.

The Saints already had the high pt. of their season when their 2nd team triumped over the Pats' 8th team last Thurs. night, so it s/b all downhill for them from there. Dumbasses...you're gonna rout 'em. Pfffff, like you can run, you fat fock.
