Sisters of No Mercy 0 Posted October 8, 2003 On the site..it says about a trade offer I made the the trade will be reflected in my week six line-up and that the trade is pending...I haven't used Yahoo very often for FF leagues, what does that mean? That the trade was accepted or that the owner hasn't decided yeah or nay yet? The wording is throwing me off....
Zap 0 Posted October 8, 2003 I dunno? BUT, I am looking to deal Mike Alstott and Charles Rogers. Seriously, it sounds like the trade has been accepted and will reflect on your roster shortly. I could be wrong and will go have a look.
Zap 0 Posted October 8, 2003 Yahoo: If the offer is accepted, the entire league will be notified and coaches/commissioners can review the deal. In a Public League, an objection of four or more coaches within two days will veto the trade. In a Custom League, the commissioner has veto power for the length of time chosen during configuration. During the review period, trades are marked as pending. Once the trade has been accepted and the waiting period has finished, the trade will be processed (this can take up to 24 hours) and its results reflected on each team's roster and shown in the transaction log. It sounds like the review period is both after the offer has been made (reviewing prior to acceptance by the offeree) and then after the offer has been accepted (reviewing by the league/commish). So, I guess he has not yet accepted/rejected it, or the rest of us could all laugh at the trade by now. We don't even know what the offer is yet. Last I heard from teddyt he was pushpoling a gondola through the sewers of Venice. eek!
Zap 0 Posted October 9, 2003 Also Unless you cancel your offer it will last for ten days, and if it has been ignored that long (he is/was in Italy), it will be rejected automatically. And Finally, I have three days in this league to review a trade. I'm not big on vetoing trades. We're all big boys and know enough to make our own decisions regardless of what others think. In other words, for me to veto a trade it would have to be extraordinarily out of balance and feel colusional. Chances are I would not use the three days on any trade, rather I would push it through asap.

Zap 0 Posted October 9, 2003 Diesel07: Yah i proposed him a trade as well. Do you know when hes going to be back zap? I think he said he was across the pond for three weeks and that was about a week and a half ago. He could have already been there awhile when I got that news sooooo; if he's not back already, he should be back early next week at the latest.
Zap 0 Posted October 9, 2003 What? No takers for Alstott and Rogers? Tough week for Prozac. I lost those two. Chad Johnson is on a bye. Plummer's shoulder is worsening and it sounds like he'll give it a go, but could very easily sit or play minimally due to pain ala Portis. I hate to start Aaron Brooks again until he proves something. I could use Quincy against the Iggles, and just might, because I'm stuck starting two COWBOY receivers. Never thought I'd see the day. I planned on starting Hamlin and Holdman, but they both sound like Plummer, questionable on the doubtful side. So I've had to add some defenders to the roster this week. Claiborne is on his bye. Ouch of a week! Alstott isn't that big of a loss, but he was my security at RB, and I am looking to make a move. My whole roster is on the trading block with the exceptions of Jamauler Lewis, Freddie Taylor, Chad Johnson and Chris Claiborne. I'm seeking a backup running back who actually plays, in a package deal with whatever consideration makes sense. I would consider a few that don't play much, like Mo Mo and DFoster, considering the strength of any offer. I'm not desperate to make a move, but looking to feel better about possible injury insurance at RB. I'm holding on to Charles Rogers as far as waivers are concerned, but would be happy to send the risk your way almost for free, as a possible add-in to a trade package I like, or at least think helps. teddyt 0 Posted October 12, 2003 I arrived home last nite after an excruciating 23 straight hours on planes or in airports. Currently, I am suffering amidst the throes of jet-lag which makes my 0-5 record all the more unbearable. Apologies for being a tad quiet lately...and for not responding in a timely manner to your trade offers...it was difficult to keep up to date on everything that was going on with the NFL overthere. Any offers will now be treated in an expeditious manner, and I shall make it my mission to climb from the depths of this Charger-esqe start to make the playoffs.
