Witten had a bad first 3-4 games (I almsot dropped him) but he's been top 3 tight end since then.

 

He caught 2 touchdowns last week (one got called back by penalty)

 

Wiggens should have a big game on sunday but I think long term production Witten should be better.

Over the long haul I'd much rather have Whitten. The guy offerinhg Wiggens probably feels like Duante's not going to have much time to pass the long ball, so he'll look more to his TEs to dump it off less yards more frequency (not too bad reasoning) but it hasn't really happened yet your call if you think it might.

Buyer beware on Witten because of the loss of tackle F.Adams. The fear is that the TE will have to block more in max protect schemes to give Mr. Statue more time to throw.

 

On even ground though Witten is head and shoulders above Wiggins (and I own Wiggins).

You might be right, but the same could have been said about Gonzo before Roaf was back. Just pointing out the possibility, and a possible reason why the Witten owner is looking to "downgrade" at TE (unless he's a Vikes homer).

I own both of these guys. Wiggins is on my bench and will only play when Witten is on a bye. Wiggins scored well last week for me (on th bench) because he got so many receptions (1 PPR), but the Vikes offense is rotten and Wiggins won't get as many red-zone chances as Witten. Take Witten - no brainer!

If you are in a ppr league, than wiggins is very solid and he might be better than witten. If you are not, I would much rather have Witten because he will probably get more tds and his upside is much higher in my opinion. I would take Witten over wiggins any day.

even in a 1 ppr league, witten's been more valuable. witten's no. 3 in scoring after 6 weeks and and wiggins is no. 13 (but wiggins had a bye). witten is averaging me 11.5 pts per game and wiggins is averaging 8.8. witten's clearly more valuable.

Wiggins has done well yardage wise the past three weeks and it seems Wiggins and Memo are the only 2 guys Culpepper have confidence in. Witten might have to help block because of the injury to the Cowboy's offensive line.

i hear ya. just wanted to share my experiences in a 1 ppr league. wiggins has been a hot target for culpepper, but that offense doesn't have a game plan and i don't think wiggins will steadily get a lot of looks.
