Let Da Big Dog Eat 40 Posted October 28, 2005 Decent trade, but the key to the trade is not Caddy. Driver is going to be huge from here on out.

Wildman 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I think it's an okay deal. Driver > Johnson, and will continue to be a #1 WR in FF starting lineups. Barlow < Smith...but not by much and the difference in getting Driver makes up for this. Both RBs aren't that promising, although Smith is more capable of quality starts. The interesting thing is K Jones and Caddy... I thought K Jones would be overrated in drafts and was high on Williams RBs - Crank Scores Rank Last Name ADP FPG Crank 1 Holmes 1.03 24.74 105.13 Tier 2 2 Tomlinson 1.01 19.04 81.24 3 Barber 2.03 18.73 75.95 4 Alexander 1.02 19.16 70.54 5 Dillon 2.02 16.79 62.67 6 Davis 1.09 17.44 62.52 7 James 1.04 16.07 61.14 Tier 3 8 Green A. 2.04 17.32 59.58 9 Martin 2.11 17.39 58.68 10 Portis 1.09 16.84 56.32 11 McAllister 1.05 17.22 55.96 12 Lewis 1.09 16.62 55.05 13 Westbrook 2.09 15.81 53.35 14 Jones J. 2.02 17.52 52.31 Tier 4 15 McGahee 1.06 14.99 44.72 16 Williams C. 4.04 14.21 42.42 17 Johnson R. 2.04 14.11 40.57 18 Jones K. 1.12 14.40 39.76 19 Jordan L. 2.10 13.96 38.75 20 Taylor 5.09 13.70 38.30 Clearly, I missed the boat on some folks here--as will always be the case--but the point is even though I liked Williams more than Jones, they aren't that far apart. Jones has been a disappointment, but the offense has been a mess. Garcia may stabilize some it a bit, so Jones has the potential to have a better second half. Cadillac has a great schedule vs. the run, but I can understand being wary until we see how his foot responds after a couple of games. Will Gruden limit his carries severely? I doubt it, but I don't think he'll be over 25 total touches very often. Perception-wise Caddy is more value than Jones, but I think the potential for Jones to outperform Caddy is there so if you get Driver in addition to Jones, that's pretty good. Personally, I traded Mewelde Moore and Anquan Boldin for Cadillac last week (but it was a keeper league with salary caps and contracts...so it there were more implications to why this was a good deal for me), but for one season your trade isn't bad. rollingrot 0 Posted October 28, 2005 wildman.. some good stuff there. but KJ has to prove it to me. nothing better than a rb3... in my opinion.
Ron_Mexico 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I think you traded Caddy when his value was lowest. I would not have made that deal. Slight edge to the opponent. plz see... http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=180221 thanks.
urmother 0 Posted October 28, 2005 i like barlow= antowain driver> way over andre (i'd rank driver about 8th-10th best fantasy WR) caddy?kjones i'd value caddy a lil higher, but not much. both have high upside and could also both be 2nd half busts.
Wildman 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I agree that proof would be nice Of course, many trades are about trying to anticipate decent performance from the players you get. I think JOnes is a decent, buy-low/sell-high kind of RB right now. I'd rather have Caddy, but figured it was worth looking at the other side of the coin trying to find an argument that supports it. FF_Guru_Guy 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Will you have peace of mind? Probably. Will you have a better team? No.
jmullen45 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I think you traded Caddywhen his value was lowest. I think this in an interesting point. Is Caddy's value at it's lowest? With all sites indicating that he is going to play, right now might be the time to trade him away. What if he doesn't play? What if he aggravates his injury? His value would drop even more. You have to ask yourself this, do you think he's going to tough it out the rest of the season or do you think he's pretty much done? If you don't think he can play, this is the best time to trade him while he's at least being reported as somewhat healthy. If you do think he can play, perhaps you should hold on to him. Tough call either way...
Conly 0 Posted October 28, 2005 It depends on how your league is set up. If it's a keeper league, Caddy should stay on your squad. If not, Driver is an immediate upgrade, and depending upon what the remainder of your receiving corps look like, would probably have bigger impact.
