locogrande 0 Posted March 12, 2006 i know he'll still share some carries there, but getting the ball 20-30 times has got to improve his stock. i have him in a keeper league, and I am actually a bit bummed about this. Feels like he'll end up sharing with some of the other dudes there, and he's going to be working for a coach (Childress) that, when in philly showed no interest in running the ball. not sure how much of that was reid tho. there were certainly better situations taylor could have wound up in, from a FF perspective - staying a raven being one of them

Armed with plenty of space under the salary cap, the Minnesota Vikings surged into free agency Saturday. IF you go down half way through the article. The writer states the Vikes were looking for a starter to accompany the only other veteran with starting experience. Moore. Bennet would not be resigned, and no mention of Ontario Smith or Moe Williams, other than the starter comment. Smith and Williams have been a starter at some point. So the backfield now becomes much less crowded in a very big way. It appears the rookie from last season has filled in for Williams. Moore and Taylor to lead the way. Only other question might be who, if any, rb they might draft. And their roll now and later. Other questions is, is there any Denny men still in the organization? eefflrat 0 Posted March 13, 2006 I am a Taylor owner and am confused about why people aren't excited about this move. The fact that the Vikes signed Taylor to a four year deal, and the fact that they did it on the first day of Free Agency makes me think that they got the guy they wanted to feature in Childress' offense. He wasn't an afterthought, he was the first FA RB signed. In a PPR league his value has got to be pretty good, and I'm reading that he should not make it past the 3rd round in drafts. The only thing that concerns me is that Childress hasn't flat out said Taylor is the starting RB. Then again he said he sees him as a 20-30 touches a game back, so maybe that should say enough. I am sure that Taylor signed because he was told he would be the featured back, wouldn't that seem obvious? Thoughts?
