Vikings4ever 568 Posted March 13, 2006 Saints | Team does not reach deal with Brees Sun, 12 Mar 2006 16:05:16 -0800 The Associated Press reports free agent QB Drew Brees (Chargers) left New Orleans Sunday, March 12, without a contract offer from the New Orleans Saints. Brees said New Orleans' rebuilding from Hurricane Katrina would not dissuade him from coming here. He said he helped build programs in Purdue and at San Diego that had been down and that the challenge of rebuilding in New Orleans appealed to him. He is now on his way to Miami.
