Guest tiki_gods Posted March 17, 2006 Anyone here trade players for draft picks in their league? I just had someone from my league email me their first round pick (8th overall) for Dominic Rhodes. 14 team-4 player keeper/dynasty league NOTE: not intended as a "help me with my team" thread. eefflrat 0 Posted March 17, 2006 I'd do that in a heartbeat, Rhodes is not going to be the RB in INDY, I can't see it. They will definitely bring in a guy like Bennett, Maurice Morris, or draft a rookie RB.

List your top 10 players available - that should help. u figure 4 players kept per team X 14 teams = 56 players ADD 7 more cuase he is offerring you pick #8 -- so you are bascially trading Rhodes for the 64th best player available. Rhodes does have a 1000 yd season under his belt and I can't see them giving that position to a rookie - they ar ein the SB hunt - they need to keep Peyton healthy - a rookie could be a liability. ask for more - he has made the offer - so you now know what he wants - and as a negotiator, I say start NEGOTIATING - and don't settle for first offer. Guest tiki_gods Posted March 17, 2006 I probably will but its hard making moves this early into the game without really knowing what is going to happen. I enjoy the fantasy football offseason so much more being in a dynasty league that moves draft picks around as well as players. It gives it more of a GM feel versus a draft and dump league. Timinator 0 Posted March 17, 2006 Offseason trades are assumed out of bounds in my league, but the rules don't prevent it. Therefore, I'm gonna work out a deal and have it challenege the status quo. In my league, I do play the obnoxious jerk owner who pushes the envelope and drags everybody kicking and screaming into a better place.
Guest tiki_gods Posted March 17, 2006 Tim....our league starts wheeling and dealing about the same time the NFL does. We don't have to declare our rosters until first Sunday in August so people are always doing things with their teams. Its especially fun for those who have no interest in baseball.
