jocstrap 8 Posted March 23, 2006 How can Rex Grossman be so high up on the totem pole? I just don't understand. He's barely taken enough snaps as a starter to qualify as a starter. Griese has a big fat smile on his face knowing it's just a matter of time before Rex hurts himself once again without being touched.
t.j 35 Posted March 23, 2006 How can Rex Grossman be so high up on the totem pole? I just don't understand. He's barely taken enough snaps as a starter to qualify as a starter. The Bears have seen a lot of Grossman during the offseason and preseasons. Number of starts in the NFL isn't everything. A lot of QBs have had great years in year 2 in the NFL without having had any significant playing time in year 1. Grossman should be ahead of that level of advancement, and has looked pretty good albeit not great when he has been able to play. Griese, on the other hand, has a long, proven track record of mediocrity. Griese has a big fat smile on his face knowing it's just a matter of time before Rex hurts himself once again without being touched. This, on the other hand, is a fair point.
