Wildman 0 Posted August 12, 2006 I know it's just preseason, but some things worth mentioning: QBs Jay Cutler: My top ranked QB in this draft when 16/22 for 192 and a score in the second half and has already claimed the #2 spot. Bruce Gradkowski: My sleeper selection that I think could be a starter down the line? 11/13 104 yards and 2 scores in the second half on a West Coast offense. He's challenging for the #2 spot as a rookie. I'm telling you if Simms gets hurt for a long period of time, Gradkowski is going to make things very difficult on Gruden... RBs Mike Bell I gave Bell a score of 85, which on my system means he has the talent to be an every down starter. Bell earned the starting nod in a surprise move by Shanahan. While I didn't expect this to happen, I certainly didn't expect Bell to go undrafted... FB/TE Garrett Mills--He's catching everything in sight and moving the chains. Belicheck is comparing him to Larry Centers....He was one of my top rated TEs on the board...His training camp has been so-so, but he's looking excellent in the preseason game. Keep you posted as I see it...

Wildman 0 Posted August 13, 2006 I was about to ask you to post another one of these updates/views. RBs Continued Wali Lundy One of my underrated backs took over in the first quarter for Antowain Smith and reeled off a 25-yard run and then a 3-yard TD run. Looked impressive overall and made a pretty nice statement in his first NFL preseason game to Gary Kubiak. There's been rumblings on the board about him being a sleeper and I agree. Yes, Houston isn't a great offense, but if D. Davis thrived as a fantasy player despite the Texans difficulty with the pass, it's not a stretch to say Lundy could do the same if he proves worthy of starting. I said this guy was a 1st round prospect before the 2005 college season and he fell due to injury and being mismatched in a spread offense. Damien Rhodes Same team, but I listed him as a project with upside. He also looked pretty good during the late period WR Mike Hass Some nice possession grabs last night and continues to impress in camp. Greg Jennings One of my impact rookies and he's definitely showing the rapport with the GB QBs and could very well earn a starting job. Reminds me of D. Mason Sam Hurd I had this guy rated unusually high. He was undrafted but did sign a 3-year deal with the Cowboys and actually looked good in the preseason game. He won't make an impact this year unles there's major injuries, but he's an interesting long term prospect with soft hands. QB Omar Jacobs Nice stats and a score. Only missed two passes.
