I have no idea what i'm doing 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Warner is the poster child for "developing" young QBs, Bulger, Manning and now Leinhart, all of which have replaced him. Can you Imagine walking into the Cardinals orginization with Edge in the backfield, Fitz, Boldin, one of your Guards from college....Leinhart will replace Warner before the 1st game of the season....and have a Big Ben/Dan Marino type year, this year, the road to the Superbowl goes through Arizona. RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted April 30, 2006 I'm going to say 6 games. Money aside, Leinart has to be excited about going to the Cardinals with all of the offensive weapons they have... not to mention it's close to home, in a brand new stadium, and he will probably have a decent following (due to a high # of LA transplants in Phoenix). t.j 35 Posted April 30, 2006 I don't know man, that was my first though when Leinart fell past the Raiders, that Arizona was going to pick a QB and Warner would get screwed again. At least this time it's not a #1 overall pick, and he's on an arguably better team than he was in NY in '04, I think he stands a decent chance to play well and finish the season as a starter, if only he can stay healthy. His biggest problem though is that Leinart is supposed to be the NFL-ready QB. But Warner is a savvy vet with many of the same skills as Leinart, I'm not sure what Leinart has that he doesn't right now. Arizona would probably be well served to let Warner take the beating this year as they haven't done much to improve their OL yet, and by next year maybe they can get the protection fixed for real, and put Leinart in.
