Personally, I am the sort who likes seeing young QBs on the bench learning for a while before being thrown to the wolves...more often that not, QBs have better long term success that way from what I've seen.

 

So I'd be ok with the Niners grabbing McNair for a year...have Smith learn from him. He could instantly improve that offense...

 

I wonder if anyone else might make a run at him...Jets? Bills? Anyone? Or are the Ravens all alone in this pursuit?

he'll either work out a deal with the titans for the next year or so or be traded or signed by the ravens.......he's still very tight with rolle and mason and would like to play with them...but regardless no team is hot and heavy on his pursuit trail as the ravens and that's where i expect him to go unless he decides to take a cut for the next couple of seasons and tutor Big Vince

McNair as a Raven would make that team an easy contender for a wild card. I was down on Jamal Lewis last year, because there was no way he was getting rehab on his ankle in the federal pen but I think he comes back this year. McNair behind a decent Ravens line is a dangerous combination with that running game. I'd think 10-6 wouldn't be out of the question.
