Nate Burnmeagainleson?

Recommended Posts

I can only say I felt like linus waiting for the great pumpkin with this guy:With 69/1006/9 td's you would have thought he was to become the next great pumpkin himself. Just wondering if I may tap the minds of the great as to where he should be taken this year. If he falls as my 5th or 6th wr, I'll grab him again. Sincerity as far as the eye can see.....???

Love the thread title....love the commentary. He killed me last year, too until I finally cut him around week 8 or 9. Where will he go? Id expect right around 40th to 50th overall WR chosen which would line him up as a 4th or 5th guy. But as far as Im concerned, in the leagues Ill play in, where this guy will go will likely be someone else's team. Im sure taken extremely late in a draft he'd represent real good value.

i can't believe i kept this guy as one of my 4 keepers last year, especially when i had some very good trade offers for him... :headbanger:

i fell for the hype machine.

burn me once...

i probably won't touch him unless it's a very late round flyer and theres not much else left on the board.

He's a guy that's really tough to slot right now. You can definetly see all types of scenarios for him. I liked him last year and got burnt spending a decent pick on him (it was as if he was a non-entity). That injury really took a toll on his whole year. In many ways it was a wasted year. Fortunately for him he was still able to sign a big deal and being in a very good offense is another bonus.

The big question for Burleson is is he 100%. You can't judge him until that question is answered. If so he's a guy I'll be watching closely in camp. There's a lot of potential upside if everything falls into place. I would not be surprised if I have a different ranking each week for this guy. Right now he's a blank slate and I definetly need a lot more info before I make a decision on him.

He's is on the the team with the Best rb in the NFL (8 men in the box)- Burlesson will have man coverage the rest of his remaining career until DJAX is gone. They have a very solid TE in Jeremay Stevens too. Not to mention a top 5 caliber qb and a genius as a coach. I like his position and will be trying to get him in the 6th or 7th round. Man on Man coverage is excactly what I am looking for in a #2 team WR. He will get plenty of chances. Look at what Engram has done, Jurvicious, and Djax. He will score more than 6+ td's.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I must now admit I drafted S Smith the year before and passed on him FOR ol Burlesky. Never again. He may go undrafted....

I picked him in a mock last night as my 4th WR. We were only allowed to pick 4 WR and start 2 WR. It was a point per reception league. Honestly, I never even thought about picking him leading up to the draft. But after the Darrell Jackson/Martin vs. Chesta Taylor/A.Johnson thread where Scooter brings up his injury, I thought it was worth a shot. I almost cringed as I made the pick, but I decided to go through with it anyhow.

Minny was a mess last year and Seattle is almost the perfect situation for a receiver that is known as a good route runner and backed by an excellent running game. I see Warrick/Engram as the slot guys. I think Burnmeagainleson could be worth it as a later pick. To have a 68 catch 1000-yard 9 TD season in year two is impressive. I think he's capable when healthy.

He's also back home. He went to high school here so maybe some of Momma's cooking will get good ole Nate back into form.
