Helmet Head 0 Posted June 4, 2006 Curious how your league does FA pick-ups during the season. Do you have a waiver process? Can you do FA pick-ups 24/7? Do you have a day of the week and time when FA's can be picked up? If you have a day of the week and time FA's can be picked up, what do you do if a FA is picked up too early (even one minute)? This is an issue EVERY year for our league. The league is run by CBS Sportsline. We can start picking up players Tuesday night at 7PM and up until 5 mins before the first kickoff. If an owner picks up a player even at 6:59 PM, the commish puts that player back in the FA pool and is not available until the next night. If again an owner picks the player up too early, the player is put back in the FA pool by the commish and will be available the next night. It's kind of a pain because people are obviously trying to pick up the player and is trying to be the first one to get him, but then ends up making the transaction too early. Can you please explaing "blind bidding?" I want to make sure I have an understanding before I make a suggestion to the league. In my big $league its a free for all tuesday morning 8:00am cst. 8:00 8:01 8:01 8:01 8:02 is what it looks like in the first few weeks. I've also heard but not participated in the last to first In a 10-12 teamer you could also randomly select team 1 gets first choice week 3 and each team gets their weekly first pick, but then I don't know how it works for the second pick Free for all fast, easy, and painless/painful if you miss out or not on a guy like GADO for instance. LunaTick 30 Posted June 5, 2006 Ours is 24/7, with a limit of 2 per week and FA's cannot be traded. Goes through playoffs (for injury considerations) We have not had to lock a roster (to avoid someone dumping talent for another benefit) As the trade deadline ends like at end of or shortly before end of the regular season. Each week begins/ends at the start time of the first game for that week. Typically Sunday noon, but can be Thursday. I have advocated for a blackout peroid to be enforced in our league. Something which would start Tuesday 8 A.M. or something. This is due to my selfisness. You know, sunday family matters, etc. However, I have still been able to get someone, even on those weekends.
