p.man 7 Posted June 17, 2006 It was 5-5 but B.Williams just hit a Hr in the 9th to put the Yanks in front 6-5. J.Damon just added a sac fly. It's 7-5 now. They're going to the bottom of the 9th. The Mets had their 8 game winning streak snapped. But the Phillies were losing again and the Braves were also losing to the Red Sox. So even though the Mets lost they didn't give up any games in the standings.

p.man 7 Posted June 17, 2006 DC had a good chance. Yes they did. Soriano hit a Hr vs his old team tonight. It was Soriano's 24th of the season. I can't beleive the Yankees are in 1st place. With the way they've been playing, and without Matsui and Schefied in the lineup not to mention Jeter missing a few games and R.Johnson's pitching woes, I can't beleive they're in 1st place.
