Timinator 0 Posted June 19, 2006 This talk of expansion to LA got me thinking again... I've always wondered how Al Davis, AFL commissioner, liked the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers representing the old AFL in the Super Bowl through the '70s. "You AFL guys stink so much that you can't even send your own team to the Super Bowl!" That's why the Immaculate Reception is such a sore subject to this very day. Remember, to faciltate the NFL/AFL merger in 1970, the Steelers, Colts and Browns moved from the N's to the A's. The Colts are the only team to have played in the Super Bowl for both sides. With all of the expansion, relocation and reorganization, I have hoped that those three teams would be put back in their rightful place. Any interest? Or is all of that long gone?
