Surprise Team of 06

Recommended Posts

Levy will insist on having a no-huddle offense, which will aide in McGahee running wild ala T.Thomas. With Evans And Price on the outside that leaves plenty of room for Parrish to exploit the middle. K. Everett will be a solid tight end by seasons end. Losman will be better at adapting to quick throws so he doesn't have to think or read as much like he did under Mularkey.

The secondary will create more turnovers with Clements, yabouty and veteran Troy Vincent back there ,while T . McGee will provide depth and the return abilities to push the special teams towards # 1 status once again.

Okay, let's get back to reality.

Teams did not play 8 in the box against Kelly's juggernaut offense. Price/Evans couldn't hold Andre Reed's jock. Same goes for McGahee and Thurman Thomas, who also had a much better offensive line than Willis has.

Losman's a deer in headlights. It matters not who the offensive coordinator is, because the offensive coordinator is not making the reads on the field, nor is the OC throwing the damn ball.

The offense will again struggle this season, the defense will play well, but it won't be enough in a very tough division, and an even tougher conference.

The most valuable fantasy player on this team is the kicker. He should see alot of long field goal possibilities this season. :first:

The Houston Texans

Now I'm not saying that they will sneak into the playoffs or anything. But I do see them as being better. Maybe even a .500 team. Which after last season would be a suprise. The o-line is improved, the addition of Moulds, and a TE that can catch the ball. The defense is some what better with the exception of the backfield. Now if Dom can stay healthy and Carr off his back things could be fun for the Houston fans.

nN Recievers, Joe Horn is as old as Steve Debergs jock strap, and Stallworth? when is he going to catch anything but a cold. Maybe after next years draft.

stallworth had nearly 1000 yds last season with possibly the worst QB in the league...the saints are the ones to watch this season...

Theyre my pick as well. They might even finish 2nd if things go their way...

when has anything gone the browns way? i love the browns, but it aint gonna happen...

Cleveland Browns...Frye is fearless and showed he is ready to step into the starting role...Winslow healthy again, solid RB in Droughns, Jurevicious and Edwards(wk 7)...And an improving Romeo Crennel defense. I am realistic and looking for an 8-8 season, but if a couple breaks go their way, 9-7 or 10-6 is not out of the question. They were in almost every one of their games last year down to the very end.

It also helps that the best 2 Qbs in the divsion are starting the season a Little banged up!!

jags going all the way...... :o

I do think it's crazy that a team that went 12-4 last year and has as much young talent as they have (read: going to get better) is flying as much under the radar as they are. It wouldn't surprise me if they won their division--that'd be over Indianapolis--and were a serious Superbowl contender this year.

Surprise top team - Chiefs.

Surprise playoff team - Cleveland, SD and Arizona are too obvious. Miami.

Surprise NON playoff team - Bears

Surprise non bottom feeder - SF
