Draft Complete

Recommended Posts

Yahoo Draft is complete. Ten players, standard scoring, starting line-up: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF and six bench players. Thought this could help people see where players are going and some surprises that may occur. Tell me what you think, surprises, steals, sleepers..... I found it interesting that qb's went in the seventh and eighth round as I expected it to be 5th and sixth for the run.

I picked seventh and ended up with (RD-number):

I didn't examine it all, but at first glance, Brees went way to high, as did Maroney.

Also, I have Rudi as the #11 RB on my lists.

As for your team, I would have waited on Eli and taken a RB prospect. Maybe Addai at your 4th pick.

If I am reading this right, that dude went,

1. Steve Smith

2. Drew Brees :wall:

3. Lawrence Maroney :P

4. Chambers

5. Houshmanzadda

6. LJ Smith over Shockey and Gonzo

7. Rhodes over Chester Taylor

Honorable mention goes to Julius Jones going at #32 :first:

Love those Yahoo leagues

However, I like your team. WR's are good and I think you will be pleasantly surprised by Brown's production.

Tiki and McGahee is a nice 1-2 punch at RB. Not fond of your QB's, just don't like Eli and Favre has a fork sticking out of him. All in all pretty decent draft. I'd like to see updates on how the guy does with Maroney and Rhodes as his starting RB's :(

5th overall ... RUDI FUCKIN' JOHNSON??!?!!???? Worst pick I've seen thus far ...

In non-PPR leagues it would not surprise me at all if Rudi ended up at a top 5 back at the seasons end. Not a bad pick by any means. I don't see how you could call it the worst pick when someone took Drew Brees in the 2nd round.

worst draft evah.

and 10 team leagues are the suck.

each to their own, but there's little here that anyone can learn from, except "don't play in Yahoo 10 team leagues".

what happened to that big link at the top of this site that said DO NOT POST TEAM MANAGEMENT OR RATE MY TEAM THREADS ON THIS BOARD?

The intent of the post is to see where people may be going in some drafts. I put my team up there because I drafted 7th out of ten and I thought it would be interesting to see the ideology taken at such a spot whether people agree with it or not.

Why do some people have to be so 'anal' in fantasy world. All of us aren't 'experts' and are learning the ropes.

I hope you made such a comment on the other 'posts' that deal with draft position etc... Here's a comment, instead of being critical, how about making a productive comment whehter positive or negative. Like, Drew Brees in the second round---- silly or Eli Manning in the fourth round--- ludicrous.

But I guess you are a fantasy 'guru' and I should be grateful for your humbling advice as to post things like this somewhere else-------THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!

this does nothing for us because it is a bogus yahoo public draft that includes team owners that are 12 years old and those that are rooks. thanks for the time though.

I don't like seeing Nate Burleson in the fifth. He's someone I'm targeting as undervalued. Hate to see him go that high.

But then again Vince Young was taken ahead of McNabb, Delhomme, Brady. And that's not going to happen in any of my drafts.
