i can't imagine new england wasting a pick on this kid if he wasn't going to start...but who knows with BB...

The kid is solid. Automatica couldn't kick in sunny Florida, say hello to a New England winter.

Pretty simple IMO...as long as the kid doesn't suck in preseason he'll be the kicker. The Pats were very comfortable letting AV go (whether that's right or wrong is another debate) and than turned around and used a pretty high pick on the Gman. My guess is that's not a fluke and they're expecting this kid to be their kicker for the next decade.
