Guest Watson84 Posted July 18, 2006 I know the Pats aren't a fantasy friendly offense, but this guy is super fast and extremely strong. Perfect compliment to Deion Branch. I could see both these patriots raking up fantasy numbers. Haven't seen him ranked too high in many rankings. Any thoughts?
Zap 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I know the Pats aren't a fantasy friendly offense, but this guy is super fast and extremely strong. Perfect compliment to Deion Branch. I could see both these patriots raking up fantasy numbers. Haven't seen him ranked too high in many rankings. Any thoughts? If you really like him this year, and I do, don't sleep on him in the draft. His ADP belies reality. For every mock that has no one interested and he falls to the late 11th or early 12th, there's a bunch of mocks where he goes in the 9th. ADP is mid-10th. I've queued him up at 9.3 and seen him swiped out from under my nose. He has big fans but not many, so knowing your league is probably key. I also think the two rookie TE draft picks caused many to hesitate and devalue Ben and that's also factored into an ADP that's likely fool's gold. Tom Casale, Patriots Weekly, is one of the best beat writers in the business, and he thinks Ben is ready to open up a can of whoop on the league this year. His ADP has been on a steady rise since mocks started in earnest back in June. He was TE 16 just ahead of Ben Troupe, and he has passed Dallas Clark, Jeremy Stevens and Vernon Davis. He's hot on the heals of Heath Miller right now. With Givens gone, Branch taking of as much time as possible, Caldwell penciled ahead of the rook, Brady is going to be very comfortable with Ben this year. He's being used in the slot, out of the backfield and they are splitting him wide and seeking mismatches with cornerbacks.
TIKI-BARBERS-BARBER 0 Posted July 18, 2006 I'm starting to think Watson will be the next closs thing to Gates. I also like Hilton to this year and agree about the Rookie Te's this year. I think there not going to produce much. SF is fantasy hell and don't see even Davis producing much there.

I could see both these patriots raking up fantasy numbers. Haven't seen him ranked too high in many rankings. Any thoughts? Watson is super fast and strong (and smart), but that doesn't mean he will be featured in New England's offense. Having Daniel Graham around isn't going to help his numbers either. As for the complement to Branch, that is Reche Caldwell. Because Givens and Patton had success in this offense, I don't see any reason why Caldwell won't have comperable numbers.
