Captain Allen 0 Posted July 23, 2006 I have #1 spot, but I haven't drafted yet. As of right now, my strategy is taking LJ at #1 and then at #24 and #25 taking two of the top 8 WR if any are left (those 8 being Smith, Chad, TO, Moss, Marvin, Holt, Fitz, and Boldin), if only one is left, then I'd take the remaining one and one of the remaining decent RB's for my 2RB. Those being (either of the Jones's, FWP, Droughns, Lewis, or Dillion). If none of the top 8 WR's are left, then I'd take one of the above RB's and either Gates or possible the best QB (Brady, Palmer,...) I really doubt I'd take a QB here though. The only problem with not taking a second RB at #24/#25 is that I really don't like the RB's left at the #48/#49 spot, BUT I'd have LJ who is just about worth 2 RB's and two stud WR's. I have about a month before my money league draft, so a lot can change with my draft stategies from now until then. It is a 12 team no PPR league, normally RB heavy league. delusional247, what are you hoping/looking for in rounds 1-5? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
delusional247 0 Posted July 23, 2006 considering this is about the first time i even stepped into a fantasy site this year...lol hmmm its tough to say, the guys in the league flip every year on what goes heavy. I am thinking RB RB WR WR RB Actually thought about trading down to around the 6-8th spot. Grab rudi then in 2nd grab a top WR in Owens or something. Then in the 3rd be back to my normal spot ( 1st pick ) and grab another WR or RB..i dunno, i gotta start my study before i finalize anything Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Captain Allen 0 Posted July 24, 2006 nice..big joc straps team sucks out the 1 spot lol Hate to say it, but big joc straps could of had a good team but made some questionable picks: Taylor and Foster at 2.12/3.1 were horrible, I could see possibly Taylor but not Foster when he could of had Boldin, Gates, FWP, Lewis, Dillon, KJ, or Droughns. Then he went Joey/Housh at 4.12/5.1 which was needed since he had no WR's, but it would be hard to pass on Brady, Hasselbeck, or McNabb with one of those picks. I think I would have taken Mason or Horn here instead of Housh though. Anyways, I think how that draft unfolded, big joc strap could of ended up with a better team. I haven't seen too many good drafts from the #1 spot, but I couldn't pass on Larry Johnson's talent. I guess I'd take my chances. Like you said, maybe take Boldin & a RB or Gates. It would make the entire draft look different. Overall, this was a pretty solid 12 team draft. I think all of the teams will be competitive. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
