these were Carl Peterson's words when asked today on the radio about Willie Roaf, and then proceeded to say the same about Priest. Take it for what it's worth.

 

Just listenin to the radio today, I picked up on a couple things. Kyle Turley is playing with the 1st team at LT. He seems to still be a bit undersized, and they commented that his footwork wasnt exactly where it needs to be, as Jared Allen beat him around the outside on a few plays. Kevin Sampson is penciled in as the starter at RT, but it appears that if Roaf would happen to unretire, then Turley would likely be our RT.

 

Jordan Black was playing LG because Bryan Waters hurt his ankle, but I don't think that's too serious.

 

Will Shields and Tony Gonzalez were watching from the sidelines as part of the new veteran policy.

 

Something else worth noting, was that Carl said Willie Roaf wasn't returning his calls, Herm's calls nor his teammates calls. They seemed kind of disappointed by this, especially Will Shields because Roaf called Shields like 15 times in February encouraging him to come back for one more year.

 

Tamba Hali was not with the team today, as he was in jersey taking his test to get his citizenship status.

 

Bernard Pollard, our 2nd rd pick has been impressing and some were saying he seems to have to fight to hold off, as they are basically going touch and release. Some seem to think he may push Sammy Knight to the bench.

 

 

Just a few things I picked up on...
