The reasoning: It's a way for the NFL to broadcast the games on the NFL Network without violating their exclusive-rights agreement on Sundays with DirecTV (Sunday Ticket). My take on Thursday games is that they are pretty so-so, I hate the week 1 Thursday game, it is a big pain in the ass for fantasy football commissioners. DrJ 0 Posted August 1, 2006 Personally, I think it sucks for ticket holders, but is great for TV fans. MNF is a pain in a arse - being out till like 1 AM. More of those games....just isn't great for ticket holders. But if you like to watch the games on TV, it's terrific. Thankfully Da Bears didn't draw any of these contests this year, and all MNF games are on the road.
