WR Trade Ideas

Recommended Posts

Okay. So since my league drafted I've been working/researching/proposing trades and talking with other owners at least a few times a day and I'm happy with my roster and what I have apart from my WR's. We're a 10 team league, I had the #1 pick and we do standard scoring 10 yds rush/rec= 1 pt 25 pass=1 pt and all TD's other than passing(4pts) count for 6. I've managed to trade away depth, potential, and homer players to get my roster as this.

QB- Brady

Bledsoe

RB-LJ

Portis

McGahee

Fred Taylor

WR- Chambers

Wayne

Branch

Porter

K. Robinson

Lee Evans

TE-Shockey

DEF- Tampa

Washington

K- Kaeding

Okay, we start 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR's, 1 RB/WR, 1 DEF, and 1 Kicker. Any ideas as to some player packages I could put together to nab a top flight WR or maybe some underrated WR's I could get without sacrificing something huge ( LJ and Portis) ? Thanks In Advance.

Leave me a link, and I'll be glad to take a look at yours.

how the ###### did you end up with LJ and Portis in a 10 team league??

your WR's are fine.. even better than id expect in a 10 team league.... you need to change nothing but this looks more like a 4 team league that drafted poorly for you to get LJ Portis Chambers Brady Shockey

Portis, Brady, and Chambers have come via trades where I shipped out Addai, Westbrook, Julius Jones, Favre and Derrick Mason. Alot of guys in my league seem to favor hometown picks and seem to think they always have the inside scoop on something the rest of us havent heard. Which is fine by me, I'll capitalize on the stupidity of someone thinking Mason will go for 1500 yds and 10TD's just because McNair is in Baltimore now, and a Philly fan who seemed willing to bet the mortgage they were going back to the Superbowl on the legs of Westbrook. As for the others, well there was a huge run on WR's early on, and lots of people reached for QB's and DEF's before it was necessary too.

well thank the lord and keep what you have because you are stacked... look into trading shockey straight up for heap.... shockey is usually ranked higher but heap is in for a monster year with mcnair at the helm. he loves the TE

also if u really want help at WR look to trade mcgahee for someone like Dillon (lots to prove this year) and another WR maybe TJ Housh or Joe Horn.... your league mates seem stupid enough

Hmm..ya know that's a good point, thanks. Especially since most people (including the guys in my league) would likely give me something in return if I proposed Shockey for Heap and a WR or something.
