smurf blue army 0 Posted August 17, 2006 I'm in a 12 team 3 keeper League and have the last pick in the first round of my draft this year. (All other rounds are done by lottery "a la pick a number") Starting roster is QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, TE, and Flex. My two keepers so far are no brainers Larry Johnson and Edgerin James, the only other "worthy" keepers on last year's roster are Dominick Davis, Reggie Wayne and Tony Gonzalez. I'm all for stocking up on RB's but Davis is injury proned. Tony was a touchdown let down last year (but will he rebound with new coaching?) It doesn't hurt that he's still a top TE, or do I go with who seems to be the sure bet Reggie Wayne??? Any comments, rants, raves, help would be greatly appreciated. JOHN 316 7 Posted August 17, 2006 If it were me, I'd keep Wayne. Davis is an injury risk and with the loss of Roaf, Gonzalez may have to do more blocking. Add the fact that there are lots of other quality TE's out there - Gonzalez is not the best option anymore. Wayne just signed a long term deal, Harrison is not getting any younger and Edge is not there - i.e. more passing plays. I really like Wayne, especially in a keeper league. I'm trying to swing a deal for him myself. He may not explode this year, but he's the heir apparent to harrison and his receptions have gone up every year.
