mgs316 14 Posted August 20, 2006 I see this as more then likely the picks before me: L. Johnson Alexander Tomlinson S. Jackson R. Johnson L. Jordan C. Portis P. Manning R. Brown C. Williams T. Barber E. James <-----Me (Anyone else I should consider?) McGahee - No idea???? J. Jones - No idea???? ---------------------------- Westbrook - No idea???? Harrison - No idea???? ?????? So I know I'll get a top 3 or top 4 WR on the way back, but buy the end of the 3rd round I'm looking at for my #2 RB: M. Bell, Benson (or Jones), Fred Taylor, Chris Brown, etc. That really scares me off from even taking that #1 wideout so early. But what are better options in the second for RB's? Dillon, Lewis, Davis, K. Jones, C. Taylor. In general, 14 teams is a living hell. I'm at a total loss. I know who my BAP's are, but it's the hand that is forced on me in rounds 3 and 4 that might put me in last place. Sorry, forgot scoring system and line ups: TD heavier league. 1q, 2rb, 3wr/te, 1d, 1k. 1 per 20 rushing/wr, 6 point for td; 1 per 50 passing, 4 point passing td. TIKI-BARBERS-BARBER 0 Posted August 20, 2006 If its a ppr league Westbrook would be a steal there but if not I would probably go wr.
Ruphus 0 Posted August 20, 2006 If its a ppr league Westbrook would be a steal there but if not I would probably go wr. I'd really be leaning WR here, you have 6 "upper echelon" WR's in Fitz, TO, Harrison, Holt, C.J., S. Smith, and maybe Moss, which will all be gone by then time your 3rd pick comes around, and you start 3 WR/TE's. Best bet would be to grab one of the tops while you can (and get a fairly good choice out of the bunch) and just load up on RB's in 3-6, picking up the sleeper/high risk ones and hoping one pans out. Starting 3 WR's and waiting to pick a WR / TE up till 3rd is gonna hurt, your looking at maybe getting Chambers if your lucky, or semi studs like Ward, Driver etc. Get your stud now, and try to find the gems in the rough in 3-6. At least, that's what I would do.

Thanks for the post. I hate to say it, but in a 14+ teamer I think we have to force one RB in the first two rounds no matter what value says. Starting Gore and Dunn is a death sentence, plus I think you're lucky to even get Dunn that late. If Manning drops to me then, If I HAVE to take J. Jones for example, then so be it, i am going to have to take him in the second round and pray and hope.
