football_scooter 0 Posted August 24, 2006 a one day contract to retire as a Niner. Thank god...I was afraid he'd retire and go into the HOF wearing Largent's jersey. lol
nicewolf64 0 Posted August 24, 2006 So where does in fit into the draft? I'm thinking a sleeper in the 5th or 6th.

What is the deal? 1 Posted August 24, 2006 He may have been the greatest WR ever to play the game, but he is the worst radio guy I have ever heard. I can't believe I pay for this Sirius crap to listen to him embarass himself. He may have ran one too many routes over the middle.
RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted August 24, 2006 I was wondering when in the hell the Niners were going to do this. The fact that they waited this long makes me think even less of them... and that puts them at notch -1 Disclaimer - If it's Jerry who was waiting... then the Niners can be put back up at notch 0. RicemanX 20 Posted August 24, 2006 Give Jerry a few weeks to get back in shape and he'll be the Niners #3 WR this year.

It was Jerry. The Niners tried to do it last year. They also tried to do it the year before. Jerry kept coming back. if it gets him off the radio, then I support it 100% I agree with this - he's barely articulate. GOAT, definately. Radio personality? Ugggh - no way. rollingrot 0 Posted August 24, 2006 hey scooter.. #80 is the best of all time.. quick side question about the niners.. will gore be playing on 3rd downs? thx
football_scooter 0 Posted August 24, 2006 hey scooter.. #80 is the best of all time.. quick side question about the niners.. will gore be playing on 3rd downs? thx Though I've not seen that much of him as a receiver, the plays in the preseason so far he's managed to catch the ball and cut upfield in a hurry, so I'd suspect yes. Norv Turner's never been a RBBC guy and I doubt he'd start now. The only concern is with putting too heavy a load on Gore, but they can spell him with Hicks & Robinson from time to time - don't think that would necessarily be on 3rd down. And yes, #80 is the greatest of all time.
