5th pick in a 14 teamer

Recommended Posts

I pick 5th in a 14 team draft on Thursday. We have a strange scoring system.

1 pt for each 10 yds rush/rec (not so strange)

5 pts at 200 yds passing, then 1 for each additional 10 yds (little strange)

5 pts for all tds 1-9 yds

7 pts for all tds 10-24 yds

9 pts for all tds 25-49 yds

11 pts for all tds 50-74 yds

15 pts for 75+

I know the big 3 rbs will go 1-2-3.

My choice is really between T. Barber and S.Jackson.

I love S-JAX, but wonder if this scoring system works better for Barber.

All imput is greatly appreciated.

:dunno:

I actually think it might be a better system for Jackson. I'd bet he and Tiki will have about the same # of total yards. But Jackson will catch a fair number of passes out of the backfield, and those can be easy to break for long ones.

I think Tiki would be the pick, if he is there. I am not as high on SJax as a lot of people, and think he will have a decent season, but not the break out season everyone is hoping for. Tiki's TD runs will probably from farther distances also, which is benifical with your scoring system. He is also probably going to get more receiving touches. I'm in the 5 slot in my big money league (PPR) and will be ecstatic if he is there

Tiki went at pick 4 in my 14 team draft, but somebody in your league might want Manning because of the passing numbers so if he's there you should get him. Jackson went at pick 12 so even if he's bumped up because of the scoring system he would still probably be lower than 5.
