stvwrd 0 Posted September 2, 2006 I was invited in on a pay league this year ($100). The guys running it have been doing it for a few years, but this year not everyone signed up and there's only six people in, so we're trying to figure out how to handle this. One idea is to have everyone draft two teams, but this also causes problems, such as trading between your own team, as well as having to play yourself through the season. Anyone have any advice on how to set up this league? Also, how can I handle this using the FF Compiler and Draft buddy I just bought?

If you can't find more players I'd set it up so that each player has 2 teams. You do not play your own team, and ALL trades must go through voting approval. That should fix the trade to yourself problems - and if you pay for trades, you pay more to trade to yourself. I'd set it up into 3 Divisions, your teams must be in different divisions, and then just manage the schedule accordingly. The only time you might play yourself is during the playoffs... but then again I'd still try to just find more people If you don't mind non-local players, post your league to the find a league/fill a league board. Shouldn't be to hard to fill. If I wasn't in 3 leagues already, I'd offer http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227431
stvwrd 0 Posted September 2, 2006 6 teams, 80 player rosters. play two different teams every week. quit being a loser and make more friends. good luck and i HTH. We all live in Seoul, Korea. Finding people that are interested in trying to follow NFL football in the US when we can't even watch the games is slim pickings. Thanks for the ideas everyone. I will mention this thread when we meet tomorrow to discuss it. If there's anymore ideas, keep them coming!
Fearsome 22 Posted September 2, 2006 make it like baseball with two six team leagues. have two drafts and have the winners play in a "world series" type of game. You could even have a 10 week season with everyone playing each other twice and then a best 3 of 5 series to determine the winner. Weeks 11-15 with each week being a different "game". Week 15 would be awesome if it was tied 2-2. The second and third place teams could do the same thing to determine those places. And then in week 16 you could have a pro bowl division a versus division b (I do that now and it is great fun...but in week 17 when all the main studs are sitting for the playoffs). Good luck. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227434
