ChairmanCUA 0 Posted September 2, 2006 So because I had to go to my gf's for the three day weekend, I decided to prerank my players. I realize that it's better to draft live, but under the circumstances, it wasn't in the cards. But I have been doing this for two years, had the first round draft pick this year, and decided to get FFToday Compiler and Draft Buddy, which I used to prerank my players. I thought nothing could go wrong, until one of my friends (and FF opponent) calls me today to laugh at my 6th round pick of Deion Branch. Needless to say, I'm now livid. Granted, at least I'm not the guy who didn't prerank or participate live and got Dominick Davis in the third round (good job Yahoo for keeping him ranked high!), but still, that only makes me feel a tad better. Anyway, here's my team, any ideas on what I should do about Branch? Should I wait for him to get his contract negotiated, or should I dumped him completely and get the next best WR, which I assure you there are none left who are remotely decent? QB: M. Hasselback (SEA) WR: D. Branch (NE???) WR: E. Kennison (KC) WR: L. Coles (NYJ, but even that's up in the air apparently) RB: S. Alexander (SEA, wasn't a completely bad day, but I'm not comfortable with both Hasselback and Alexander as my starters, they're great players, but if Seattle has a bad day, I'm screwed for the week) RB: J. Addai (IND, Compiler ranked this rookie very high compared to Yahoo, let's hope they're right) RB: C. Taylor (MIN) TE: A. Gates (SD, not bad to also have the best TE in the league) K: J. Reed (PIT) DEF: Jacksonville Backups: QB: Mi. Vick (ATL) WR: T. Williamson (MIN, he's ranked at 1522 in Yahoo, but I trusted Complier's assessment that he was in the top 40 WRs to draft, now he may be my starter b/c of the Branch fiasco, which sucks) RB: F. Gore (SF) RB: W. Lundy (HOU) DEF: Dallas

I'd keep checking out the WW and see if you can pick up anyone decent, or look into some possible trades to get a little more depth.
bradhpa 0 Posted September 2, 2006 Dude, you've got some nice backs. Offer one up and look for a better #1 WR. I find almost every year, except in really deep leagues, that there is always a decent #2 WR floating around on the WW after acouple of weeks. I think you are looking for a #1 though, so you may have to trade for one of those.
