adanley 1 Posted September 5, 2006 I'm looking to drop M. Vanderjagt as I think I'll stick with D. Akers. Who should I pick up instead? Roster below. (Lundy Removed) Anyone else worth picking up? Doug Gabriel (Sounds like Branch will hold out, could put up decent numbers) David Givens (I don't buy the Bennett hype) Jerry Porter (Didn't do anything last year, but Gabriel is gone now) Ernest Wilford (Someone has to catch the ball) Brandon Jacobs (I have Tiki Barber)
angman 0 Posted September 5, 2006 I'd go with either Lundy or Jacobs there. Jacobs may get the goaline carries, and your RB depth was pretty solid, so you can take a wait and see approach there. Although on the other hand, Lundy may take the job and run with it, you never know. For the last spot on your roster, I'd try to hit the homerun and go with Lundy Please see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=228667
andhraangel 0 Posted September 6, 2006 lundy has greatest upside http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=228542
dmanson 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I agree with Lundy, although I have Jacobs but don't think I'll really use him unless Tiki gets hurt...
Edzis52 0 Posted September 6, 2006 from those Lundy is the man, get him and look for a trade maybe heres mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=228676
bunnerjk 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I would pick-up Jacobs for insurance since anyone you pick-up will be a bench player anyway.
bauman88 0 Posted September 6, 2006 any are better than a kicker!!! take a flier on Porter, he has 8 td potential.
Bri114 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I like your thinking on Porter... Givens is a solid receiver as well... I'd go with either one of those guys. Thanks for your response.
dpollaro 0 Posted September 6, 2006 brandon jacobs he will get all the goalline carries this year again and also they plan on using him a lot more to preserve tiki...believe me on this one(big time giants fan here) see mine please http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=228771
Fremont Flyers 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I like your thinking on Porter...Givens is a solid receiver as well... I'd go with either one of those guys. Thanks for your response. Right now Porter is in Al Davis' dog house. If he gets out and plays he'll put up numbers. Remember Al Davis benched Marcus Allen for a season. Its a big chance. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=228757
Rabid Wookie 0 Posted September 6, 2006 I like your depth at RB and WR. Thus, have you considered grabbing a TE sleeper (is Winslow or V.Davis available?) to back-up Cooley? If that doesn't interest you, Jacobs would be decent insurance against Tiki getting hurt. I like your depth at RB and WR. dalie 2 Posted September 6, 2006 Of the choices given I would look at Jacobs to back up Tiki since alot of people are worried of his age and Jacobs taking his TD's to boot. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=228755
