Comments/Suggestions on Auction drafted team

League starts 9 (QB / RBx2 / WRx3 / flex / K / DEF) with 5 bench players

Scoring (pass 1pt/20yds, 6pts/TD, -1/Int)

(rush 1pt/10yds, 6 pts/TD, -1/fumble)

(recv same as rush, plus 1pt/reception)

(DEF 2 pts for FF/FR/INT/Sack, 6pts TD)

 

Auction for 14 players with 100 bankroll

QB P. Manning $35

RB L. Jordan $22

WR C. Johnson $25

WR D. Jackson $7

DEF Colts $2

That left me with only $1 per spot to fill out my roster. My "bargain basement" players are

RB T. Bell

RB C. Brown

RB C. Benson

WR E. Kennison

WR B. Edwards

WR B. Engram

WR A. Bryant

 

For some reason TEs were available in our auction software, so we have to wait until after week 1 to pick them up on waivers.

 

So, my questions....

1) How did I do? I'm only a 2nd year FF'er and still working on my auction strategy. Obviously in hindsight I spent too much on Manning especially since Palmer went for $23 and Brady went for $7.

2) Which of the bargain players do I dump to hopefully pick up a good TE next week?

3) Who do you recommend I start? I'm thinking along the lines of

QB Manning

RB Jordan

RB Benson?

WR Johnson

WR D. Jackson

WR Kennison

flex T. Bell?

K & Def are a given since I only have 1 of each, hope Vanderjagt plays...
