Pound 0 Posted September 7, 2006 FFT's rankings for RB has Chris Brown ranked #11 in week 1. (and Reggie bush vs CLE at #12 btw). Are the jets that easy to run on? I know these rankings aren't an exact science but sure has me guessing who I should start this weekend. Ronnie goes tonight so I have to figure it out soon. Any insights as to why they're so high on Chris?

While I think overall the Titans should have success on the ground against the Jets, i'm not sold that Brown is getting all or even most of the carries there yet? CBS SportsLine.com has learned from a source close to the Titans that Henry will be the team's starting running back in Week 1 vs. the N.Y. Jets. For the moment, however, the team still lists Chris Brown as their starting back. Brown owners are advised to add Henry as insurance if at all possible to grab hold of the Titans starting RB somehow. Pound 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Sportsline is Idiot. Fisher squashed that Henry starting crap stuff a week ago.
Eriadoc 4 Posted September 7, 2006 According to the player blurb on my ESPN FF site - "Henry seems to have wrestled the starting job away from Chris Brown and is a solid #2 fantasy RB this week. The Jets' front seven is struggling to adjust to Eric Mangini's 3-4 and Henry's strength will present a problem for MLB Jonathan Vilma, an undersized LB better suited to a 4-3. Henry will lose some carries to Henry and LenDale White but he remains the Titans' goal line back." Is this even close to accurate? Does anyone really know who is starting for TEN? I'm not really considering starting him this week, but it would be nice if he somehow came out of this looking good. Thoughts?
Pound 0 Posted September 7, 2006 "Henry will lose some carries to Henry and LenDale White" huh? That sucks when you lose carries to yourself Oh well if there is truely doubt on a starter, FFT rankings look silly and I need to stay away from Chris. Probably the smart move anyways. joeunleaded 0 Posted September 7, 2006 http://www.titansonline.com/news/titans_ne....php?PRKey=4013 a week old but - on the Titans website - "RUMOR SQUASHED: Rumors began circulating yesterday on CBS Sportsline that Travis Henry had overtaken Chris Brown as the Titans’ starting running back. However, Fisher refuted that report on Wednesday, saying Brown is still the starter." True? False? Who knows. Best option - stay away from both if you can. jbb1366 0 Posted September 7, 2006 I have to decide between Fragile Freddie against the Cowboys or C. Brown at home vs the Jets. I'm going with Brown. put myself in this position because I was drafting 8th and went Peyton Randy K. Jones Wayne Mason Fred C. Brown DeAngelo - here's to hoping Foster goes DOWN
joeunleaded 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Going with D Carr in a flex spot over C Brown - too many RBs there... Thinking about dropping him and getting another available low tier QB - Collins, Frey, Batch, Pennington...
SigEp316 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Brown will continue to get the lions share of the carries until he gets injured. Nothing has changed but a bogus CBS sportsline report and the addition of Lendale. Brown has looked good in pre-season when he's played. Henry has been strong in practice but hasn't come around in games. Lendale is a rookie and is going to need more work. All this being said, the Titans are not a good football team. It will be tough for them to run all year, but they should have some success against soft DEF like the NYJ. Brown is a good start for this week.
Yowza 0 Posted September 7, 2006 Travis Henry is a Pro-Bowl RB with his head screwed on the wrong way. He doesn't get injury much, but does drugs. Chris Brown is an injury combined with a fumble waiting to happen. I think anyone is taking a risk with either one of them. Where there is smoke there is fire. I got Henry for my RB5, in the 15th round of my 10 player keeper league. He might actually contribute for me this year!!!!! If CBS was wrong, there would be no ESPN story, and I would hope any good journalist would retract and apologize, or make some other statement when information is blatantly wrong. I tend to think CBS is correct here. Or, at least, Chris Brown is on an impossibly short leash....

QB/RB flex? are you kidding me? and you would even consider ever starting Brown as a QB/RB flex? how can a QB not outscore scrub RBs? QBs must be completely devalued in your league scoring system.
