thill 0 Posted September 8, 2006 10 team stanadrd yardage league, we play 2 rbs, 2 wrs and a flex rb/wr. i have ronnie brown already in as my 1 rb. for my 2nd rb, i have to choose from: portis addai benson duckett betts from WAS is available too (the one that will supposedly "start"). so i basically have two RBBC options available - addai or duckett/betts. or i can grab blaylock of the waiver wire who is "starting" for the jets (ugly, i know). other scrubs available: betts blaylock pittman alstott i know--ugly. looks like i should be dropping duckett for betts at the very least. what the heck do i do here? I think you just might have to bite the bullet this week or until portis is back and play addai.
iwilson22 0 Posted September 8, 2006 Wow -- that's tough...cuz the options are so bad. I wouldn't drop duckett for betts....I'd put duckett in the lineup this week and hope he gets the short yardage TD's
Sho Funaki 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I agree. hope for the best with Duckett. Addai is an option but I think he'll be a bigger option in the 2nd half of the season. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230110
Vertical Smiles 0 Posted September 8, 2006 It kind of depends on your scoring is weighted. Addai will get some opportunities for yards for sure, but I doubt you'll see him around the goal line. Portis - too risky. Benson - probably a few yards in mopup duty for now, maybe a late TD if the game is at hand, but I doubt that will be the case. Duckett - I actually think this guy is worth hanging on to and possibly even playing this week. He has more experience than all of Washington's other backs, and despite not starting, I think he is going to get all the goal line opportunities as well as short yardage. That's his specialty, just look at his TD totals over the years. You have to ask yourself, why did Washington acquire this guy? Not for insurance as they have similar backs in Betts and Cartwright. Al Saunders has something up his sleeve, and I have a hunch we may be seeing more of Duckett near the goal line throughout the season, even when Portis is healthy, if for nothing else but to save the punishment on Portis shoulder. Shoop 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I too would pick Duckett over Addai, this will probably be the best time to play Duckett (when Portis is Q). He's had the most TD's than any one else on your list.
c_Weezie 3 Posted September 8, 2006 Wow, you do have some major RB problems for a 10 teamer (I'm glad I have the RBs I do), hopefully your other positions are rock solid. Anyways, you gotta go Duckett, he has the best chance of a td. Good Luck return the favor http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=230169
