weas98 0 Posted September 11, 2006 In a deep 12 team league that starts 2 QB's. Got screwed this week with Roethlisberger and then Volek not starting, so I was only able to start Warner. Anyways need to pick up someone for next week just in case Ben doesn't start. My choices are Collins, Batch or Huard Who would be your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice to start next week? Pickups have to go through waivers and I have the 6th pick. Also do you think Collins will be starting all season or will they throw Young in after they are out of the playoffs? Also do you think I should hold on to Volek in case he gets traded and starts? I have a funny feeling that may happen...I can drop Dilfer instead and pray Volek gets traded and starts... I will answer any and all questions.
FBH ** 0 Posted September 11, 2006 You really are looking for a 1-2 week replacement for Roethlisberger, at most, and then a bye week fill in. So your best case scenario is Collins, Huard, then Batch. IMO. That is the best chance for their longevity in the league this season. Baatch is probably the best option for the short term, and we don't know how long Green will be out, so we can't really tell on Huard. wiscsports1234 0 Posted September 11, 2006 I agree with FBH. Huard is unknown. Batch and Collins had good games, but I like Collins more. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=231176

bobpate17 0 Posted September 11, 2006 Batch is ur best option. go with him. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=231037
Football Fan 20 2 Posted September 11, 2006 I'd go Batch, he's gonna be riding a wave of confidence that makes him more valuable. Collins still has the problem, since he 's played with so many teams, of hitting the other team more than his own.
SportsNutz 0 Posted September 11, 2006 Big Ben says he will be ready to go for Week 2, so you should be okay. Otherwise, take the backup in Batch since Collins stay at QB is questionable and Huard has hardly played a lick. Thanks for answering mine! 'Nutz
DEEZNUTS 18 Posted September 11, 2006 Thanks for answering my Norwood / Kevin Jones question. Let me weigh in on your QB quandry here... Not a big Collins fan, and yesterday's pathetic perfomance against my NY Jets proved why. In this case, I'd take the leap and start 1) Huard, 2) Collins, 3) Batch. I do believe Ben will be back in the lineup this week, so Batch was a 1 timer. Tennessee's offense is ...well.... offensive. They can run the ball (somewhat), and I like Drew Bennett, but not enough. Go with Huard (I never thought I'd put those 3 words in the same sentence). As far as Volek - don't be surprised to see Volek in a KC uniform within the next 2 weeks. Mike and Mike this morning discussed it and it made plenty of sense. He should be traded - potentially to a fringe playoff contender (KC) before long. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Bill Parcells make a move for him either, after Drew's performance.
