lguero1 4 Posted September 20, 2006 Is Verron Hayes an option in Pittsburgh? Jerrius Norwood, is he the GL back and not getting the opportunities? I didn't see the circumstances under which Carthon got his TD. Is he the new Munggro? Leave a link and I'll definitely answer yours. I'm in a 16 team league and we each have 3 RBs. I went with lundy over jacobs in the draft because lundy was the man. i regret that, especailly in this scoring only league. 3 points for 100 rushing and 6 points for TD for RBs. i have larry johnosn off this week and there is no way lundy gets a TD or 100 yards, so he would get me no points. i just need to drop lundy for someone you think will get a TD this week. Options: Stephen Davis STL Musa Smith BAL Ron Carthon IND Kev. Faulk NEP L. White TEN (7) J. Norwood ATL (7) C. Buckhalter PHI (9) Verron Haynes For the long run, i am thinking of getting buckhalter or lendale white, but i need a TD this week. HTH
ir0nchef 0 Posted September 21, 2006 that must be a really deep league if you have to worry about carthon and hayes...carthon got his td in garbage time when indy had a huge lead. not sure about Norwood, but he's looking good and will be a great option if dunn goes down
mfmise 0 Posted September 21, 2006 None of them are great options but I think Haynes would be the way to go. Pitt has the history and as far as I know, Norwood is not huge like Duckett.
lguero1 4 Posted September 21, 2006 thanks, it is. i had to edit it so people would understand the situation. i am also looking at michael turner for the long haul also.
hadji 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I believe Davenport is going to be the goalline back in Pittsburgh and Cowher has said he wants to give him more work so if he's available go for it. I'm assuming Brandon Jacobs is not available but he would also be a great pickup. Why is it that you want a goalline back? I'm a big Norwood fan and if you can stash him on your bench I would do it. If Dunn misses any time, Norwood is going to be an absolute stud. help me out: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235456

2GQ 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I would look at Lendale White out of this group. He was injured the 1st week and got some action this past week to shake off the rust. Now he should be primed to make a difference and the way to do this is to get goalline chances. Otherwise, Faulk may be a good option if Dillon is hurt. He is also a good receiver and since he plays on 3rd downs, he will have a shot to rush or catch a TD.
mrgymrat 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I'd go: 1. Norwood - Atl runs the ball & long term you know that Dunn will miss some time 2. Buchalter - if Westbrook not playing 3. S Davis - he's gonna keep getting more reps 4. Davenport - PIT looked real bad running the ball. They will be behind Cincy all game & throwing
IHEARTFF 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I would rate the top 3 as such Norwood - he's getting carries already, may get some goalline touches Buckhalter - Westbrook may miss some time, regardless, he should be at goalline Haynes

Back when GB had a team, Davenport was a big goal line pusher. The reason the Steelers picked him up was for those opportunities. And, they even said that Vernon is not ready yet. Also, look for Brandon Jacobs. He's a TRUCK!! The Giants will probably start putting him in more at the goal line to protect Tiki.
Garfieldthecat 0 Posted September 21, 2006 I would also look for Jacobs as he is a true Goal Line Back. He also gets some normal carries as well as a change up to Tiki. help me: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235667
