Tarheel Boy 0 Posted October 2, 2006 Adding: Seattle (+3.5)@-115 for 3 units This line opened with Seattle as the favorite. When Alexander was ruled out, the line jumped. And I think it moved too much, and over reaction. Maurice Morris has quite a bit of ability, especially catching the ball. And he will likely have opportunities to catch dump offs, as the Bears will blitz, and blitz often. Chicago is allowing 66% of passes to be completed against them, and the only way they will slow down Seattle's new potent passing game featuring 4 WRs is to pressure Hasselbeck. Seattle is clicking on offense, converting 55% of third down chances over the last two games. Chicago is strong against the run, but has shown weakness in the secondary, so the loss of Alexander isn't as big of a loss for this particular matchup. Chicago's offense has seemingly improved this year, but they did so against Green Bay, Detroit, and Minnesota. Seattle's defense is very solid, and Chicago will not enjoy the same success scoring points. Maybe this is a bit of a homer pick. But I have done decently with Seattle this year, taking the Lions with the points and going with Seattle vs Arizona. Granted, I had the under in the Seattle/NY Giant game last week, but I didn't expect that kind of production by Seattle's offense. I'd like to think that I have a feel for the Seattle games this year, and I am having trouble seeing a scenario where Seattle loses by more than 3, and I think they win the game. I hope they win. I took some of my profit today and put it on the Seahawks moneyline. Don't like the looks of things so far, but still a lot of game left...
phillybear 366 Posted October 2, 2006 I'm going to take Seattle for the 2nd half. Chicago has played a perfect first half, and if Seattle stops turning it over, they will tighten this game up. Maybe I'm throwing more money at a losing play.
Tarheel Boy 0 Posted October 2, 2006 Well, at least I don't have to stay up and watch this clusterfock. This game is pretty much over...

GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted October 2, 2006 The Monday night game has Philly at -11.5 now. The total is at 48.5 now. Is anyone else afraid of a possible backdoor cover in this game?
Mad Matt 0 Posted October 2, 2006 Uh,,, 1 and 6 with my picks this week. Too many Underdogs covered. Only one I got was the Cowboys.

Hurricane Ditka 0 Posted October 2, 2006 0-8 this week in the NFL. -$80!! I hate gambling on the No Fun League and I am retired from the NFL thread for the year. College only for me.
thekris 0 Posted October 2, 2006 Yesterday I was thinking of teasing MNF. Green Bay +17.5 teased with over 42.5 thinking that there's no way GB will lose by more than 17 points to Philly. But after watching Seattle get destroyed last night and knowing that Seattle is a LOT better than GB I'm thinking I may just pass on tonights game. Or just do a straight over bet on over 48.

GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Are you ready for some football? Let's get this game rollin'. I fear the backdoor cover by Green Bay so much that I'm playing Green Bay +12. I can't believe the Giants got 3 second half touchdowns and a field goal against Philly, in Philly. Also, San Fran got 3 second half touchdowns against Philly, and San Fran just got shut out by KC....................by KC. The Pack hasn't been blown out by Philly in the last 4 years and I don't see it happening tonight. Remember no Brian Westbrook for Philly is huge! Also I heard Lito Shepard is out.............Yes, Ahman Green is out, but he doesn't have the speed he used to. Morency will serve his debut today and the scouts think he fits the Packer system. It seemed like the pass protection worked well for Green Bay last week in Detroit. I'm thinking that will hold somewhat tonight. Green Bay +
phillybear 366 Posted October 3, 2006 I played Green Bay (+12) for 1 unit.
chiz3 1 Posted October 3, 2006 Hate the NFL!!!! Cincy and Seattle put me in the hole. Now Im chasing, and that spells doom. Anyhow went with a tease: GB +18 Under
GiantsRule 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Trying to close out a magnificent college/NFL week with two underdog plays: Brett Favre more 1st half passing yards than Donovan McNabb +2.5 yards (+150) Packers +7.5 1st half (-105) Will look for interesting opportunities in live betting, particularly the over if the scoring starts off slow. Good luck everyone! Added: Over 10 3rd quarter (-110)

KC Chef Jeff 0 Posted October 3, 2006 I played Green Bay (+12) for 1 unit. Seems like a good play. I found a prop bet of +110 no score in first 6 minutes. Seems as good as any. This is hopefully gonna be a fun and entertaining game. Teasers are very tempting, but to predict two things that are gonna happen tonight will be doubly tough. Good luck to everyone! GridIronAssassin#1 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Does anyone like the under tonight? Right now it's at 50. Yea, I thought about it. 8 out of 11 went under last year when the total was 49.5 or higher. I don't have the guts for it though, because with Lito Shepard the starting corner out, you never know.

I don't think it's going to be as high scoring as many are thinking, but I couldn't pull the trigger.
ROCKET 0 Posted October 3, 2006 GB looking good early on. I took GB figuring Philly might be looking past them towards Dallas. I could use a win after going 13-19 this week in college and pros and going from +100 to -300 for the year

Was hoping Favre would stretch out the Packers possession at the end of the first half, but I only had 12 yards to play with anyway. Wanted the over in the 2nd half, but selected the over in the 3rd quarter instead. Cashed with 4 minutes to go in the quarter. Gave a few bucks back in the online casino (fortunes turned around in craps on Dimelinesports, which was easy money before today, but tonight kept coming up "7" the first roll after the established point. Ecch. Onto the college game tomorrow. Leaning towards So. Miss ML.
