BYE Week Woes..WSIS at QB? WHIR!

I have Peyton on a bye. Need a QB for this week.

 

Currently I have Mark Brunell vs. Tennessee penciled in.

 

Other options available on the WW are...

 

JP Losman @ DET - Should be a shootout...right? I think he is a very decent option....

 

Philip Rivers @ SF - Thinking SD will run all over the Niner D.....

 

Bruce Gradkowski vs. CIN - See TB falling behind, but Cincy has a much better pass D than run D so...

 

Vince Young @ WAS - Too unpredictable, 63 yds. passing last week?????

 

Steve McNair vs. CAR - Thinking this will be a Defensive slugfest.....dont see McNair putting up good #'s

 

SO, is Brunell my best option?

Rivers ... no doubt. I drafted Brunell as my backup to Manning, and he's long since been waived for Grossman. Waive Brunell for Rivers.

Dont get me wrong, I like Rivers too, but Im not talking about long term or anything. Peyton will not be benched other than this week barring injury. Im worried SD is just gonna thrash the Niners with LT and Turner. I need a QB for 1 week, than I am gonna drop him. SO I guess the question is, which QB will put up the most points this week and this week alone?

You know I like Rivers. It seems Marty may have finally give him more opportunites to throw the ball. Now granted, LT will get his touches this week, but I think Rivers can put up 200 and a TD this week. Good luck and thanks for the in depth post.

I would go with Rivers. SF Bad pass defense

Id say stick with Brunell. He is going up against the titans, one of the worst defensive teams in the league, and rivers wont get as many touches because LT/Turner will go up on them quickly and they wont need to pass

I would probably pick Brunell, which usually means Rivers is the better play.

I say Brunell. And purely because Ten Sucks worse than SF. as you said "Philip Rivers @ SF - Thinking SD will run all over the Niner D....." And they will run and run and run. At least with brunell you'll get a long ball for a TD to S.Moss. Stay with Brunell.
