Big trade (LT, McNabb involved) really needed everyone's advice on this

Recommended Posts

I play in a standard non-PPR 12 team league. I am 4-1 and my team is listed below:

McNabb/Leinart/B. Johnson

LJ/Rhodes/Addai/Benson/Morency

Holt/Harrison/Housh/Chambers/D. Jackson/Henry

I have just been offered LT and Brady for McNabb and Benson. McNabb has been on an absolute tear and has really carried my team, but I have to tell you I am really tempted to take this trade. Can McNabb keep this up? Should I be worried about LT splitting time with Turner. I am really liking the thought of LT and LJ in my backfield. Am I a getting caught up in pre-season hype. What do you think? Hold on McNabb and wait for th Colts to name their starter. I am 4-1. Sell McNabb high and hope Brady starts putting up 20 points games? I really need advice on this one.

McNabb..has been in the zone as you know...

he is clearly the league MVP after the first five games of the year.

His skill players have suffered a variety of injuries and whoever they put in there he gets them the ball.....I don't see him not continuing his success.

I am a LT2 owner and still think he will be a monster....but yes Turner doesn't appear to be going away.

I would keep McNabb.

Wow, that's really tough. At first, I was going to tell you to definitly take it. LT and LJ anchoring your rb's will make you hard to beat every week. But McNabb is absolutely on a mission this year. He lost his best wr, his best rb and still just continued to produce (if not even get better). Your #2 rb is definitly pretty weak, but it still has a lot of potential Addai could/should win the job in Indy by midseason and it looks like Benson may start seeing more carries. Remember, Chi elected to not do a contract with T. Jones this offseason and Benson was given a lot of money. They really want him to succeed and he could see a lot of time the last few games of the season if Chicago has things locked up.

So if you think McNabb keeps his pace up, I'd keep him. If you think he'll drop off, then I'd do the trade.

Thanks for mine

McNabb will never be worth more than he is right now. I think his production will drop, he'll still be top 3 but no insane like the first 5 weeks. LT is such an improvement over the Indy backfield commitee that you should be Ok with Brady. Just imagine going into the playoffs with LT and LJ. I'd be all over it.

I'd do it. Mcnabb's schedule is way tougher in the second half. the upgrade LT gives you at RB is huge.

Thanks for mine!

I have now been offered another trade of Palmer for Holt an Leinart. This would give me the following team:

Brady/Palmer

LJ/LT/Addai/Rhodes/L. Washington

Harrison/D. Jackson/Housh/Chambers/Henry

What do you think? Should I pull the trigger on both of these?

I would do the first one, not the second one. McNabb would have to come down a little. He will still be better than Brady, but the upgrade at RB is too much to pass up.
