Large trade offer incl: Fitz and Caddy, your input is requested

Recommended Posts

Give: Larry Fitz, Leon Wash, A Green, Joey Harrington

Get: Caddy, Reggie Wayne, Jon Kitna

I just got Fitz by trading Brad Johnson and Travis Henry, but am thinking of shoring up my depth since my team is a bit injury prone (see below).

What do you think?

I think I would make the move. You will still have 3 solid choices at RB, and when Fitz comes back you will have a very strong wr corp.

Not a bad deal ... But I'd try and hang on to Washington ... He might be real good come playoff time when NJ will be looking at what they have for the future. See if you can use Jones in his place as I don't really see him doing much this year with Williams playing as well as he is in JAX.

i agree with the last post. i'd try to keep leon instead of one of your bottom WR's. he's got a lot of potential.

thanks for mine.

I would say a good deal. Caddy is due to shine a little, Wayne is decent. Green is a throwaway and upgrade some at qb.

Maybe I'm biased against Leon Washington after watching every game he played at FSU. Yeah he had a good game last week and is probably the best the Jets have, by default, but I just don't see him having any kind of consistent success. I think Caddy will do a good job of solidifying your RB's while they get healthy. Kitna is a certain upgrade over Harrington. I'd hate giving up Fitz after you just stole him, but the Colts should start poutting up huge numbers again soon and when that happens you can't go wrong with Wayne, who may be the best the Colts have. I think he's a step down from a healthy Fitz but hammies like to linger, and I think the rest of the trade makes up for it (not high on Ahman's chances of being healthy much this year). I say pull the trigger.

As with most trades it depends on what else you are rollin with and where you can move somebody for an upgrade.

I don't like this trade. IMO the only draw is Wayne. I ain't buyin the caddy hype. His schedule is rough. He has a rookie QB. Already has back problems. Kitna shouldn't be doing much more than spot starting. So what, you move Fitz and change for Wayne and change? If you can stash him away and you are off and running with a good record, I'd wait it out. He'll come back strong. And that schedule looks good. Plus I think Lienart has the stuff.

Just my 2 penny's...
