IndyFan 2 Posted October 20, 2006 We are in a yardage heavy league that allows 3 protected players per year (one must be an after 8th pick from previous year) Therefore, a 1st round pick is equal to a 4th in a redraft league. I have been offered Shaun Alexander,a 1st, 2nd and 3rd next year for Tomlinson and Berrian. Alexander should be back in 2 weeks but will he share carries as he works his way back in the lineup? Is it worth giving up the cornerstone of my team? Here is the rest of my team that I have built over ten years with trades and good drafts. This year I protected LT, CJ and FWP: Drew Bledsoe Alex Smith Chad Pennington L. Tomlinson Ronnie Brown Willie Parker Thomas Jones Fred Taylor Chad Johnson Chris Chambers Donald Driver Reggie Brown Bernard Berrian Tony Gonzalez Alex Smith Shayne Graham San Diego
Beyond Chaos 75 Posted October 20, 2006 I wouldn't give up LT, try SA instead. I wouldn't give up LT, SA still has alot of questions.... ignore the first line, i misread thinking you had SA too
itsbigmoni 1 Posted October 20, 2006 What kind of value can you get with those picks he's offering? Unless you can get some high quality players i wouldn't make the deal. LT has been playing well and who knows about SA. If he's out for 2 more games for sure, then on top of that will probably limited for 1-2 more. So for 4 weeks you can't expect top-3 rb-like numbers. Rex and Bernard have a good thing goin but may slow down a little in the winter with all the cold and wind. If you're in position of winning the league this year don't make the deal. If you have no hope for this yaer then make the deal. Sorry i can't be more helpful, i've only played redraft leagues. Thanks for answering mine though.
